The wind was blowing against the current which worked out for slow drifts other than that the weeds and lilly pads are gonna be up soon and cover is gonna be all over the place.

Got out on the water with Johnnybass today to hit up the Trent in search of a mix bag of fish but i gotta start with our last weekend missed report, Johnny and i hit balsam in search of some walleye everthing went good i hit a nice Walleye in the morning while searching for smallies off a weedline and managed to get it to the boat and it got off kinda feels like a punch to the chest when that happens same thing happened to Johnny later on in the day but we kept going and managed to boat a number of smallies and Johnny landed at least 7 Walleye through out the day and i managed to land a number of panfish and a fairly decent largie and i took pictures of them all BUT!! came mid day Johhny hooks into a huge slab of a sunfish which measured into the 10 inch mark everything was good i took a picture of it and roughly ten minutes later he hooks into a Smallie here comes out the camera to take a pic i turned it on and my memory card fried i dunno what happened maybe the camera being in the sun all day did some internal damage and all the pics are lost i still have the SD card and i am gonna keep figuring out a way to retrieve the pics, so i took out the memory card and used the onboard memory and managed two pics seen below Johnny with one of his Walleye And my panfish getting prepared for the filleting Todays report: We got on the river around 6:30 A.m and starting throwing tubes around and the furious rock bass couldn't leave us alone and we lost count of all the dingy small mouth we hit all day, heres a couple of shots of some of the smallies we landed in the morning Through out the day we landed a few more Smallies and a largie And the Furious fighting Rock Bass And my PB smallie out of the trent so far this year Unfortunately we had to struggle through out the day with motor problems and we were unable to get around and we did most of our fishing close to the launch we hoped to hook into some Eyes and musky but we were unable and in doing so the day became more and more of a struggle i had some more spots to show Johnny but it was a little bit out of the way so we left it till next time, regardless of all the problems through the day we did pretty good and hopefully next time we will hook into some more fish.

Got out to Hastings this weekend and fished the Trent in search of some Smallies, Largies and Walleye and i cant forget the Roller Coaster of Weather we ran into Down pours of Rain and the occasional Thunder and Sunshine, it was kinda tough seem like the fish had schooled up in some areas and scattered in others and the smallies just shut down, my daughter hooked into her first Largemouth prior to catching at least a half dozen Rock bass she was a happy camper managed a couple myself Next day i headed out alone, i got out on the water around 6 P.m and started tossing a White and Blue Lucky Strike Spinnerbait in search of some big Largemouth and came across one area that had a small creek run off and found a couple of not so bad ones that gave a nice fight had one on the was pretty big but lost him at the boat shortly after releasing those 2 i started a drift along the shore line and casted away from the shore and got a nice hit i wasn't sure what i had on i felt lots of head shaking and to my surprise a Walleye actually the first one of the year on a spinner bait Overall the weekend wasn't to bad the trails at the site were all muddy and the kids had lots of fun and 10 hours sleep over the past 3 days called for a major sleep in this morning so i hope everyone had a good weekend and enjoy there Canada Day celebrations.

Let the games begin This is when Italy will prevail under pressure is when they play good and as for the bashing i guess some people don't know how to celebrate and have a good time i see World Cup soccer and Euro Cup as a good time excitement and when nations come together and enjoy the sport Man you Don't like the horn honking and flag waving thats your prerogative, Portugal and Germany will go to O.T and i think Portugal will win i cheer for them since i work with alot of Portuguese people, If Italy and Spain go to penalty kicks Italy will win Buffon is the worlds best goalie as we speak and is in his Prime Good luck to all Who Cheer for there Team. FORZA AZZURRI!!!

The Re-bar ain't that bad i actually walk through the water in the hotter months of the summer, I work around that re-bar and concrete all day and had alot of close calls. Nice looking white fish Sean almost as big as the one that was caught through the ice.

I was up in Ignace about 5 years ago, I fished McNamara Lake and caught Walleye also fished Sandbar Lake and there's lots of pike holding in that lake and there is also walleye to be caught and if you go about 20 Km west of Igance theres a lake located on the south side off of 17 that holds some nice smallies.

Next time just get a order of fries to go it cost around 4 bucks and it much more better than a 5 dollar slice of pizza.

Opinions on using Flourocarbon leaders for Pike
PatrickGG replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
25 Pound Test Seaguar fluoro Uni to Uni on Braid never had a leader snapped so far "Knock on wood" no worries especially when using jerk baits.
