  1. \ We got about 3 inches today.. enough that I have to plow tomorrow but not much more. Calling for snow Sunday/Monday/Tuesday... hope just enough to smooth the ride for 8 days on the ice!!
  2. So true... I dressed the 27 year old as a gorilla this round...
  3. That beat up idler chattering probably fatigued it. $18 at CTC. You could easily fabricate a new "tab" for the shaft... and bolt it to the beam.
  4. ..you think you're losing sleep now! That's what it means! Mine are 22, 25, 27 !
  5. If you can get the adventure cheap enough.. as pointed out you can make the stretcher poles..I can give you the dimensions off mine to copy if you want.
  6. See my post Al.. The stretch poles are key when using as a wind break. You use one of the between poles on two hoops and the stretcher on the front two hoops.. and it makes it ridged and keeps the slack tent off your back. When it's breezy and you have it closed up.. you definitely want the poles in between hoops.. and the main pole on the front wall keeps it tight.. and the door/tent material out of your heater.
  7. Wait 'till he hits 12 or 13... !!
  8. You can't beat that offer Will... call him!!.. and he's not even trying to sell you anything!
  9. Nope.. a great deal Dave and thanks for pointing it out. I'm gonna feel real comfortable when the gals and their friends head up the lake in canoes wearing these.. and sitting on the life jackets...
  10. Yep.. USPS won't ship compressed air. As for why UPS over Fedex.. American's love UPS.. and use it more than the post office down there. FedX is rarely a choice with US companies for shipping. We should have taken a group order... one large pallet across the border on a truck.. I could have cleared that, or an entire truck load for that matter, for only $55 with Near North Customs Brokers in Barrie!!
  11. Gonna depend what aluminum it's made out of. If it's 2024.. it can't be welded.. If it's 5052 Or 6061/63 it can..
  12. Like Lloyd said... not a great environment for parts shopping right now. YOu may have to grab the bull by the horn and source it yourself... I also have a bad feeling that you are intentionally being jerked around hoping that they can sell you a complete new furnace. I don't buy the hole in the exchanger keeping it from lighting in the first place...
  13. $58.25 + Gst.. UPS raped me for Brokerage... when Fedx would have done that for $7 and then the tax collection on value.. total to UPS and government $107.27. Paid Defender $30 for shipping. So that said.. 6 AUTO inflaters for a total of approx $490 CDN... $81.67 Each including taxes!! ($72.27 + tax).
  14. Those crap nylocks don't do anything Dave. They unthread like normal nuts. Thank god for the Mcgiver in all of us or we would have been screwed last March. I ended up stealing my seat bolts to get by a few times. At least mine only fell apart and if I could find them I could put it back together..... that Piece of Crap Clam thing of Lloyds... the heads sheared off 75% of his bolts leaving him high and dry on a gusting 60 MPH day! We used up most of the hardware I had stocked in the boat house to put his back together. I replaced all my bolts with Aircraft hardware and good Nylock stuff.. and still crazy glued the things! lol Grab at least a few spares before heading out.. banging along on hardpack will shake it apart in no time.. And as for the "stretcher poles".. I wouldn't be without them. When using as a wind break only they work great to hold it tight in the windbreak position. When closed they aren't as big of deal.. but sure keep it from flapping. Also the main stretcher pole keeps the tent away from the heater.. especially when opening the door.
  15. I have a custom Spiel Loomis that stood up to a bridge at 30 MPH !! I like it the most.. but expensive.. as well as my St. Croix's.. but of course they were about $149 if I remember right... The BPS Pete Maina works well as a trolling rod... or as a guest rod in the boat.
  16. If you need to pay for it lads.. maybe you ARE uglier than your avatar!! Don't get off the main strip onto the back streets...
  17. Well by now the perky breasts probably are anyhow...
  18. Yep... it will say "In Stock.. last inventory Feb xx, 2010".. or Contact Store.
  19. Presume you meant $200 more Paul ! lol (I got mine at 1/2 price!!)... and the seats lift out of the Trekker... they aren't bolted in like the Clam swivels are.. etc.
  20. Yah... okay Mike. Figured if you're gonna photoshop you may as well make it presentable.. but you do your thing...
  21. Nice Pike Mike... Now about that background... take the eye dropper.. select the cloud cover at the horizon and then select a spray bomb... and blend the ice to the skyline. Do this at full size and then downsize the picture. Most won't notice you "adjusted" the back ground then. Otherwise you're gonna lose readership like them steelheaders... lol
  22. Just don't forget Sunday is Valentines' Day... or it will be the last time you step out somewhere !!!
  23. My Trekker came with a steel plate to put under that plastic lip the seats sit on Dave!!! Nothing flimsy there.. I'm on the 3rd season with my trekker II and don't know what else a guy would need. Fabric is a little light.. but .. no real issues.
  24. Now read the exceptions before you find yourself in trouble...
