Actually I wasnt with them at the time,It was another time that the same sort of incident occured.I never named anyone or pointed fingers at all,on any posts,whether on OFC or what ever site.All that was implied was to take a chill pill and relax.Oh but for the 2(not to be racist)fishing with 3 rods at the same time.I made my complaint to the authorities.Hint.

Well the total for today zip zero zilch.my float went down 3 times and nothing.No auger was needed,water way was open.I met a few others out there and had a really good time.

I was fishing for pickerel at the time.and two gents were fishing pike and such.Is that the place.No I drove to the far east to locate the endangered species called a cromie.A few seen and afew were caught.

A buddy sent me this to see if I knew what it was but its got me stumped...I was thinking some kind of snapping turtle because of the hooked lower jaw, but thats just a guess.

sea turtle of some sort.Hook on the lower jaw.the upper jaw seems the same.Its a predator turtle of some sort.Alittle green and rough.Those inward teeth.oh its My ex for sure.I know that face anywhere,she can get pretty ugly.

This may be a "vagina dentata"...... stay away from that one lol......

I am heading out in the morning to a place I never fished.With an ofner i never met.A small poll as to haw many I catch.A camcorder will be there to prove to others how many were caught.This may settle some opinions.cheers Im off to go hunting.

Thanks guys for all the info....Last minute change in plans .......we've decided to go back to Lake Temagami this year for the 4th annual ice fishing party...5 days of me keeping up with the young lads ....my son-in-law who flies up from Georgia every year for this event wants to beat his PB Walleye from Temagami that he caught on our 2008 trip If any other OFC members are up there the end of Feb/beginning of Mar, send me a pm and maybe we can get together..

 

I took my girls there is august and loved temagemi,as I ussually head to martin river.I think a camping/ice fishing trip to the gami would be a definite yes.This year.

Things are shaping up good lots of water tightened back up last night 2 more days and ill be going for a walk with the Ice Spud ...Fishmaster

In two days If the frgid air holds up,and no rain.Ive seen a lot along the grand,and a few scary moments.That water is always moving,and a little early yet to take a chance dont you think.

i can answer that for you they do alot of walleye fishing through the ice on the lower grand and crappie as well sometimes you can get cats through the ice you just never know with the grand

Looking to buy a fishfinder for ice fishing. Im looking at either the Humminbird 343c or Lowrance x67c. They look identical, price is nearly the same. Also considering 535 dosnt come in color but if its dependable then i would go for it. Any opinions about dependability, easy to use, etc. Which one do you have or which would you buy? Hopefully there will be some sales over the xmas break.

I picked up a 535 portable at ctc green tag sale price for $150,about a year ago.No issues so far with it.I kinda luck out this year,I was going to buy another 535 for boat,so I have a spare screen.I didnt have to.My old 100 base,and power cord matched.All I bought was a transducer and a speed temp sensor.The speed teed temp sensor I could do without,the gps is more accurate.

First off I would like to thank everyone on my last post about this topic.Youve been a great help.My sony camcorder a/v out port doubles as an in port.I didnt know.Searching all this time for an aquaview recorder,havent come across any even on aquaviews site.But anyway it is possibe to go from the view to the cam.But one has said and so did the rep at ehr,sony at times changes their A/V ports on the camcorder.Thanks everyone for your input,cheers and good fishing.Vince.

I picked mine up at either lebarons or fishing world,Black foam handle marked special 8.99.no names on it,but great for the pike.If you want it,i used 2 times 8.99 no tax, you pick up the rod.orig price tag on it.

Ive seen them,and I think there great if your packing them in a tote.I use the one with grip handles and a curly cord.Not sure of the brand name.I wear them around my neck,and put some cork on the ends while traveling on ice.for safety measures.I used to use as an oldman showed me,2 long 3/8" spikes with eyelits welded on the ends,Ayard of rope.This I didnt understand for a while.The steel will freeze to the ice quickly and you have enough rope to pull yourself out.Thanks to the old gents fishing for lakers in front of the windemere house.
