I have been here a short time and I would like to know what G2G weekend is?I heard a charitable event of some sort, love to go,meet and greet and bring the kids
Or is strictly for admins and invited parties only.A tourney of some sort?

I have a sealed 7amp rechargable battery in my aquaview.I could bring an extra truck battery and plug in the front of the unit. That would go for a day or two straight. But thats too heavy to haul around unless i had a atv or snowmobile.Ill trade my car for one.No joke I would as per my post 91 lincoln. Here's what I did to mine....ripped out the wires for the C batteries and rigged up a 50 foot lenght of cablssc -
Im leaving it on continously,so I guess 4 hours in the cold is average.Mine will last 5 or 6 hours. I try to turn it off from time to time and usually make the camera usable most of a full day on the ice. -
Oh that I know, disharge rate at different temps and all,Thats not a prob. This being a new reputable battery(interstate)If I may have a dud.Mind you today was the first time using up the battery.I have it on charge and I will give to morning and load test it.I will buy a spare for this reason.4 hrs or so in cold temps.I was curious if there is a sub zero battery that some of you guys come across. If I remember correctly, I think they last from 4-7 hours, depending on the temps, in todays cold temps, probably not more than 4 hours. Your battery could probably do with an initial 12-18 hour charge depending on the charger(Idon't know what you have). You can of course get larger batteries but they won't fit inside the case. Those 12V 7 amp gell cells are about as good as it gets, no worry of tipping over and dumping acid on anything. -
How long does your rechargeable 7 amp battery last in the cold? And how long too charge it?I purchased a new one from intertate, mine lasted 3 hours from full charge.I must have a dud.Its been on the charger for 1 1/2 hrs now.My last battery(original) lasted over 4 hrs continous use.I told interstate(one of our suppliers) the application for the battery at the time.Is there a better or subzero battery out there that will outpreform this one.If not Ill pick up a spare for just this purpose. Thanks

no but came close a few times. They were sucking on the minnows tails. No takers.any fish Vinn ? -
Nice one can copper, she sure was cold today and the wife too.A little late coming home.

There full of carp. They probably left them in the office locked up until the managers were back in on the 2nd.The CT in Brantford told me they aren't allowed to sell them until Jan 2 so I don't know why you guys were able to get yours. Every store should be the same. That's Bull if you ask me. I could be fishing right now. -
Ice conditions were good today.some good solid ice,4-6in by steves place.Very windy and cold out there, bring your heaters and huts.Im glad I did.
-
Im full now.If youre out there just give my name a shout. My otter2 sled has skiis on it.And a clam hut.Cheers
-
I have a last minute cancel for the morning. If anyone would like to go I have room for only one.I can riggit to accomodate three others.Leaving early from the hammer.5 am or so.
-
I have the otter2 and Installed skiis on it.Carries all my gear and easy to pull.My clam hut is strapped on top of it.I've been looking around and can't seem to find a sled I can use to haul all of my gear around with. Canadian tire sells a couple but they look to small. I need one that will allow me to load my hut witch is 74" long, my auger, minnow bucket, heater/propane tank, fish finder, chairs and my fishing equipment such as my rods and tackle. What does everyone use for one? Is there some where that sells sleds for transporting gear? (around Oshawa)

Someone is telling me something from above.Floating is done for the year.I went to shake a friends hand to wish him and his family a happy new year. The stuborn goat slammed the door from his f150 on my hand.I guess I need to put ice on it.I laughted and told him no worries and cheers and hardwater i will go.That should numb the pain.

seen more browns caught than bows in the niagara region

you did go in to get 8 of them right?20% of stock. So did many others I would presume.Way back when I worked at a sporting goods store in ancaster for a little while. We knew the regs and such. When a sale was on, some of us hid some items for us and the regs and some old folks that asked.Knowing that they cant run and jump.If there is a clerk in the ilse that you commonly meet up with a small jesture will surely go a long way.I know. And to this day when I see these old gents, and they remember me. I send them to my fav places and I make a call.My father taught me something years ago. When you go shopping and you frequent there,The ilses are just for show as he said.We always went to the back cooler,to the butchers table, and even to the bakery back door before openning time to buy bread. And almost never paid full price, ussually less than sale price."unhandled goods"I presume.

Last time I was out on simcoe and the last since Ive seen a lot of stupid things going on.In that no ontario plates involved.90% MICHIGAN,10%PENN and NEW YORK.I guess what Im saying is if there are no signs then go for it.What ever it is.I saw some of the dummist thing out there esp by one from michigan. He wanted to stay warm and find some safe ice to park on.He was doing donuts and figure 8s.When he was comfortable he and his buddy drilled holes around the car, left it running and opened the hood.Their excuse was they wanted to hit all angles and stay warm on safe ice.We rolled out a 50 ft rope to them and pinned it to the ice and left.Just a bad memory from being there thats all.
