  1. Hey crappie, you got a much different response to ur question than on the Kawartha forum lol Just find that interesting
  2. If you bought the spro popping frog, then fish it as you would a popper - very effective. If you bought a normal bronzeye one, then I would suggest you walk the dog over areas with little vegetation, and fish it real slow in heavy vegetation (mats/pads) stopping over holes in the vegetation. I've caught pike and bass on them. Just out of personal preference, I tend to break into the plastic a bit by collapsing the frog a couple of times, since spro plastic tends to be stiffer than most.-When it comes to frogs I will take what ever hook up advantage I can get. Also, spro frogs will fill up with water-Some people completely close up the holes to prevent this but that might hinder hook ups since the frog isn't collapsing as well. Good luck, hope you get some awesome topwater fury FFF
  3. Hi everyone, I have 2 brand new reels for sale but I can't start a topic in classifieds. Do I require more posts on this forum in order to do so? Thanks, FFF
  4. thanks, anyone know if I can wach the carbon drag washers?
  5. I recently disassembled my abu revo sx for first time maintenance. I've done many times with my revo s and black max. The shematics and interior design was very much the same, however, my revo sx now has decreased drag strength-definately not the prescirbed 24lbs no more. Anyone know what might be wrong? Could it be oil or grease (accidental) on the drag disks? Or something went wrong when re-assembling the handle side? Any tips will be helpful thanks
  6. black topwater baits always appeal. I think it may the black birds
  7. So what are some of the stuff everyone will be looking forward to?>
  8. OMG May I ask what type of line you used for your frogging?
  9. Felt it in markham too, was writing my final exam when it happened
  10. dyneema fiber braids are lengthy and straighter. They're also less slick then spectra fibers = better knot holds. Spectra fiber are spiraled and more round, most are made from combinations of kevlar and threads. Dyneema is made for spinning reels, and spectra braids are for bait casters. Fused braids are just dyneema fibers heated and made into a more uniform line, so that they are more line spectra fibre braids where there is a coating that smooths out the line. Fireline original on all my spinning reels Spiderwire moss green on baitcasting. Power Pro hi vis yellow is good for line watching - colour the first 8 feet green/black and its less visible.
  11. That's not an asian carp, it's a common carp and it's been in north america longer than you have. People have failed trying to fight it off.....
  12. bought 2 of these 3 years ago. Still in working condition. The rods are im8 and extremely durable. I've been fishing lilly pads with this setup and 14 pound fireline , cathing largemouth up to 6 lbs. My local CT shop ran ouT, was planning to buy 2 more for my family.
  13. Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not the kawarthas and lake simicoe and scugog will be good carp fishing spots, since much of teh carp died off due to the koi herpes outbreak during spawning. Hopefully there will still be carp tugging on the end of my hook with corn this year.
  14. oh snap it's the lock ness monster
