  2. this make me wonder although I do not have a disabled parking nor recieve odsb checks. But I do recieve WSIB (workers saftey insurance Board) due to a work related ijury. I'm told I have a partial dissablity now and will recieve for the rest of my life. I wonder if that counts. not that I don't mind having to pay but just a thought.
  3. I'm going to tie up my kids for the day. the amount we save due to no lights/tv on will be way more than the hours worth. this will also save me from having to run around the house 30 times turning stuff off. They have been told and told.

  8. when i was younger i use to like watching this movie .I cn't remeber the name and not sure if I will ever find it but here goes what I remember. It's about a boy that leaves home (I think) and he goes and lives in the woods. hefinds a big hollowed out tree to live in . he finds a raccoon and keeps as a pet/friend. he lives off the land and does meet a few people while out there. I think he gets snowed in in a storm too. He eventually returns to his real home. any help to find it would be nice I would like my kids to watch it

  10. Your right with the facts that if I need it then the money spent is worth it. I'm leaning toward the inflateable for the same reason as you have stated conort and put it on when I aproch ramp with the boat and take it off when boat is on trailer and I'm packing up. it's not that I have herd anything bad about the inflatables but just want to make sure before spending the $$$$
  11. ok curently when out I do ot wear my jacket I'm either sitting on it or it's not far away. I do feel that it should be worn but I find them not comfortable. I have been seriously thinking of a self inflating type. but I'm on a budget to. I have seen some Mustang brand at shows for 115.00 ish. I have been eyeballing te BPS brand in the cataog. Can anyone tell me any reasons not to but a inflateable jacket.
  12. perfect seems it's not always the best way to d/l the catalog I should have checked the online
  13. ok I have been looking in the lure making stuff. and I'm wondering if you can get the pre moulded wire for spinnerbaits like it looks the kit gives you as I'm not sure i'm want to mold any yet I have not contacted lure making to ask them yet (cause maybe I'm blind and missed them in the catalog)
  14. I unscrewed the lense part and there is a bulb holder and switch in there not sure how it comes out this is a "c" cell type
  15. ok my son found my big mag lite (I though it got tossed out long ago) anyway when I opened it up the old batteries are stuck in side and very corroded I have banged it had on a hard surface (with soft top) and still no budging. thinking of either putting a long screw into the batter and trying to pull it out or drilling the battery center out and colapsing the stuck battery. looking or ideas or someone to tell me not to try the stuff I'm thinking
  16. I have an old gale 12 that could be restored if your looking for another project this one could come resonable (I think)
  17. Hello I would like to start making some spinner baits and other simple tackle. through out the seasons I have been lucky to go fishing with several hosts.I would like to be able to give something back as a token of appreciation. So I thought this could be a simple way to do it. Wha are the sugestions on here for someone starting out. buy a kit or just supplies and go at it. I have never done any of this before but willing to try
  18. gee I wonder if they will get the idea I Know I have sent the link to the web page off to some shops and local places that may take some notice of it
  19. upgrading is on paper just not sure if it's in the wallet. hoping to get on full time where I'm working and out of the temp (pimp) service I'm with.
  20. After reading the thread about what brand of battery it reminded me I should pick up a new one. Now the trolling motor I curently have is a 35lb thrust (I think). I have plans to replace it to some time this summer. But I have always had isuues with the batery I use going flat. I bought i deep cycle Nataulis from CTC last year and it is better but I can still kill it. I'm now pushing a 16ft starceaft tinner with the trolling motor. I have at least one event this year that will be all day on the trolling motor. I do not want to run out of battery part way through the fish a thon. I also want to stop carrying extra batteries just incase. so how do I know what size of battery to buy to hopefully solve this issue
  21. wow just goes to show that the only true limitations out there are the ones you create yourself. I will be watching for that man to make it for sure. I would love to meet him just to say wow fine job mister
  22. i'm definatly going to put a new rod in the motor. I have seen a few of those cheap motors that are really knock offs not last very long at all. as for the rod I now have see various prices for one and have a few place to check yet. got to like the place ready to give a price then it a 2 or 3 week wait for them to get it but they don't tell you that till you ask when you can pick up or when will it ship out
  23. hey Dan I think you passed me when we were walking back in mu portable hut looks like a big green tent it's a 10x10 from pinical (spelt wrong but oh well) I just wish I had a way out and in other than feet or the taxi maybe next year
  24. i have the motor apart and all is ok other than the rod. Not 100% sure why it let go other than if you look at the broken areas of the rod it apears that it may have been cracked for some time as it looks alot dirtier than other broken areas.
