I havn't been out but I stopped at the local tackle shop the other day and he said theat people had been pulling out a bunch of trout if i don't get alot of home work for the weekend (returning to college sucks in some ways) I might be out. It will be new to me I havn't done the river thing.

ok so I'm told that the rivers here in delhi and south of have trout moving in them now I'm also told that just south of here the season is really long for trout so time to change up if i have time to go out but I'm not sure what to use in rivers for trout this will be from shore (no waders) I know read read read and by the time I'm done I won't have any time to fish so some quick pointers please

ok took a break from my school project and mid term study and spooled up some 15lb line I had. (had to play) tossed it a bunch of times with a casting plug and it's wayyyyyyyyy better than the old unit I had/have. want to get the feel for it then I will get some braid for it. but that will be a whole new learning curve.I have noticed my casts seem to go high up (over wires in back yard before getting in corn field) not straight out i have also noticed that I'm real bad at the cast going to my left this is mainly side arm stuff

Well I bought me a new reel I hope it works well for me . it fit nice in my hand and felt good it's a Quantum ct101Hpt Catalyst LH now just need to load it up and get to the backyard practice. need to finish up a bunch of school stuff (anyone want to build a ladder logic diagram) then i can play

what to do when there is hunters on the pond????/skunked fishing
skinny replied to skinny's topic in General Discussion
we gave him room but I guess not enough cause he told us to go fish someplace else -
Ok was out fishing today got on the pond at 730 ish I had met up with Ultyma316 for a morning of what was to be wild fish because this time of year they are just about jumping in the boats looking for food. Well not on the pond we were at we got skunked. we tossed out all kinds of stuff and I missed 2 fish. but never did get any on the hook . when we got on the pond I realized there was some hunters out there so we headed towards the back of the pond where I thought was no hunters as we were going I had to go around a hunters decoy line which just about went all the way across the pond then we headed towards the back corner and discovered another hunter so we stopped we were quite a ways away from him but I don't think he liked us there he eventualy yelled at us to find some other place to fish. we headed to the other side of the pond and fished there with no luck and I think not bugging anyone. this brought up the question between us what is the right thing to do if you encounter hunters on a pond when fishing

with in the next month I'm hoping to buy a new baitcast reel. the one I have was a gift and used well .I'm not sure it has all been working the way it should it's a magnetic type and I have set it up according to what people have told me and or videos I have seen . I still have lots of issues with it . I will set it up test it then cast and check again and the lure will just drop fast so re adjust and then cast it and test and the lure won't drop. anyway I have messed with it for too long. I think I want to try a new reel once and for all and if I can' get a grip I will forget baitcast reels. so looking for suggestions on what to buy and i think I might only have around 100.00 to spend and the VBS system seems to be interesting any suggestions
-
I only caught parts of it and just caught the tail of the part on the baitcaster question and I didn't get the name of the reel he sugested. I think the one i have is messed up a bit so thinking of a new one . anyone get that info
