A few things to add which wasn't mentioned. If a soldier commits a civilian criminal offence he can stay in DB up to two years then start his Civilian Detention. An example would be the Vandoo that commited murder in Germany in the early 80s while posted in Lahr This tooth brush parade would probably be the shining of drains in the showers or urinals As far as physical training period, would probably be burying a rock up a hill then unburying that same rock to bury it down the hill. Over and over and over with some guy yelling in your face on how much of a piece of crap you are to society and your mother and how much of a loser you are to this country. Danbo take note. One last point, although the Meatheads run the facility, its soldiers like myself that are asked to do up to a 6 month duty away from your home unit as a so called costanian( Jailer). With the pre training from the MPs, some brainwashing involved, and the thought that you have to be away from home to do this duty. Its really easy to demean and belittle that prisoner. Most have been caught with drugs, Stole from other Soldiers, and the odd disobeying or pysically abusing a superior

You find this interesting what happens at a Detention Barracks in Edmonton. I found that anybody that I knew went there, came out different. http://lfpress.ca/cgi-bin/publish.cgi?p=222876&s=societe

The body of evidence just builds and builds for global warming

OK here it Goes. Don't preach to me on anything that effects you school children nowadays. Apparently your Hero Al Gore's movie seems to have infiltrated our schools and our gullible young including you without even an examination to the facts. As far as teachers go, most might be book smart but a lot don't have any common sense or knowledge outside their Environment or their personal views. I find the most stubborn people are Environmentalists as well as Teachers. Its too bad that everything that we older people have done has been wrong all these years. Everything from the environment, your health, your society, your country, even your upbringing. Its all been wrong hasn't it... Poor little Scuro. Ill say it again, if your so concerned, YOU can stop driving, pay for an expensive hybrid if you have to YOU can pay a carbon Tax, YOU can go Neked because production of clothing causes Carbon YOU can pay extra for food, YOU can pay an environmental tax for purchases of TVs, Computers, Fridges etc. YOU can pay extra for home heating, YOU can pay extra at the pumps, YOU can pay the increase in Transported goods, YOU can pay for the Idiots that want to save the Polar bears, YOU can vote for a weak Idiot that cant talk and looks like a 90 lb weakling that wants to punish the Wests economy of which is Natural Resources are now keeping this country above water because he is a loser out here. In the mean time I'm not buying your crap and I'm hoping all this blows over because, since YOU have been sucked into this Crap, Ive been paying for it. Tell me this though since you have all the answers, since Ive been paying for all this crap, how come I still got to get rid of my TVs, Freezers and pay for it? How come Oil has gone down 30% but not a cent at the pumps, How do you explain adding another tax to Oil Companies, Home Heating, Mining, Diesel is not going to effect me, BUT CUT DOWN on the WORLDS CARBON EMISSIONS Explain all that to me Sherlock!!!!! But I,ll tell ya what, thanks to sucks like you and a whole lot others, WE ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF. So preach somewhere else -

All this malarkey has been only recorded in the past 40 years so every thing is theory at this time. Like I said if your so worried stop driving. I for myself is not worried. So I'm still going to drive to work and provide for my kids. Like I said, whenever the Economy is doing good all the tree Huggers start buying chains and nails and smoking Dope listening to singer want to be"s and university monkeys with the gift of gab. Yea I know your hero Mr Dress up wants to make it his Election Platform but like him its weak because the Economy is in the forefront now. In the 60s and 70s you had Nuclear War, 70s and 80s Acid Rain, 90s Global warming, now its Climate Change and Polar Bears. In the mean time I'm blaming all the increases in food and Products to greed and the Environmentalists. Now go Collect Wolf Scat and tell me the Wolves are being endangered to whatever is next and do me a favor and start plugging up all the volcanoes. One last thing, quit smoking because your polluting my air. -

I like Davis Wilcock, his song Laying pipe and the Grind are excellent. But seriously folks this GREEN SHAFT oops I mean shift will fade once the economy goes down again. All you Green Shifters (Shafters) come out of the woodwork when the Economy is doing great and then it peters out when there is less spending. As far as loosing some ice up North, great for our economy as it may open up another sea port or two lets say, Churchill. Anyways we got too many Polar Bears theyre starting to become a nuisance. If your so worried, stop driving its simple. But tell that to the USA, China, Russia, India and every other stinking industrial country out there. OH by the way, it wont be long and the Magnetic North will be in Russia. -

Should be posted in all schools and work places

Do you think that the Fast food joints here in Sask and Alberta are hurting for employees because maybe our youth think that this type of job is inappropriate. Problem here is that these jobs have a horrendous customer service is because the food service has such a shortage they will hire anybody no matter what their background is. I know that when I was a teenager I learned to keep my job because I know I could of easily been replaced. Yea and I was lucky to even have a job. As far as who wrote the points, couldnt careless who, but they make sense to me. Got this from my cousin in Seattle, he neve wrote it either but thought it was interesting enough to send. -
Thanks for the Tip, point is taken

Should be posted in all schools and work places. AND ALSO SENT TO EVERYONE WHO THINKS THE WHOLE WORLD OWES THEM SOMETHING. Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this! Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world. Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it! Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself. Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both. Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity. Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them. Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room. Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life. Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time. Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs. Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one. If you agree, pass it on.If you can read this - Thank a teacher! If you can read this in English Thank a soldier!!!

All I can tell you is around the Edmonton Area. My all time Favorite lake is Wolf Lake. It is considered a Trophy lake and its a drive to. Maybe two hours North east of Edmonton just above Bonneville between Cold lake and Lac La biche. Even closer is Pinehurst which has Huge Pike. North of Edmonton maybe an hour is Lac La biche with lots of Lakes. Check out the Alberta Fishing Forum or Alberta fishing Site for Articles. Fabulous Fishing Less than two hours Drive. Also Lesser Slave lake and Pigeon lakes can be good.

Sounds like a good deal but a piece of mind would be have a mechanic do a compression test. Also check the gear oil to see if it has water in it. If it wasn't winterized, and something went wrong, chances are it would be a cracked bottom. BTW I bought an old Yamaha 9.9 and cost me less than 100 dollars to have it checked. I told the seller that I wanted it tested first.

Last week I bought a small light 12 ft with a 9.9 and portable fish finder to9 try out on the small lakes. I went to Baxter Lake that I previously fished blindly with a canoe. This time armed with the portable I found that the deepest parts of the lake were 25 ft but it dropped to 12 feet close to shore. That meant that I was trolling in 25 ft of water instead of the 14 ft max that I wanted. Also I found that the rod holders worked excellent that came with the Boat. When I finally got to the Lake I found out there was another party there. A Dad and his Boy who were camping there. I guess they never expected any body as they parked their vehical infront of the launch site, no worries as the small boat was easily unloaded and manouverred. Here's a couple of Pictures of the scenery I actually think these rod holders are realy good. Just a matter of lifting the rod up. Big difference from trying it out for real instead of dry training Within 5 minutes of trolling I caught this nice fat pike on a diving Jointed Rapala. The picture is poor as I guess the sun was in the way I also caught a few small ones. Still looking for a monster though. I decided to stop and still fish using frozen minnows. I felt a small pull slowly bouncing of the bottom and caught this small pickerel. It was sort of color less instead of the greenish dark look. So i put it on the stringer but I let it go thinking it would be the only one as it was getting dark soon. But as luck would have it I got another one after the release otherwise I would of ate them for a late supper I am expecting that I will probably be fishing with Hometownhandyman next week as he called during the week so well see what happens

Last year my Dad passed away in Petawawa after I had reunited with him and moved him from the Dumps of Halifax. Unfortunately I would move to Alberta and left him alone. But when I was making the funeral arrangements in Pembroke I got talking to the Directer and the conversation came up on weather he was busy or not. It had never occurred to me when he somberly said to me that unfortunately he has been really busy because of the Base.

I have an older Honda four stroke that ran flawlessly till this year. I just got it out of the shop since July 1st long weekend believe it or not. What happened is a magnet fell out and jammed the motor so I had to change the flywheel. 1 hour labour but a 375 dollar part. Ouch Now for you. I had my engine do the same thing. Puff of smoke and half power. After checking the oil I decided to change a spark plug. I was lucky and picked the right one as no problems afterwards. Here's what I learned, I carry a set of tools and now have two new spark plugs as backup instead of one. As far as winterization, Ill disconnect the hose and run the engine till it runs out of gas. There is also a screw in the Engine to drain the carb. Its in the Owners manual. Ill change the oil and the lower case oil, then I store it in my heated basement. Ive only changed the fuel filter once in 3 years and it was only a preventive thing.

Today We lost an Entire Reconnaissance Engineer Section due to an IED buried in a Culvert under the Road. As you Know Canada has a small Army and within that Army even smaller the Corps of Engineers. Unfortunately today I personally have been touched by the death of one Particular Engineer, Sgt Eades. Sapper Eades (Engineer term for Pvt) had served for me as one of my Section Members while I was a Master Corporal in Petawawa. I might have been his first Section Commander as what I could Remember is that he had just completed his Basic Engineer Course and joined 2 Combat Engineer. Where I do Remember him well is when Cpl Eades had served for me for a second time as a Member of by Bridging Troop. I would rely on him for his technical knowledge of some of our Bridging Equipment. It was during this time that myself and Cpl Eades would Clash over an incident which led to An abuse of Authority Harassment investigation against me, which I was cleared however, I had not forgiven and led me to believe that he could not be trusted. The Powers to be would Post him to Cold Lake and I would carry on as the Troop Warrant. Years later I would meet Master Corporal Eades for the first time since the Incident. I was surprised that he had been promoted and even more surprised when he apologized to me regarding the Harassment charge that he initiated. Today upon learning of his death, I could not help but feel sadness and guilt for his ultimate sacrifice. If he can hear me I would like to say to him, that not only have I forgiven him, but how proud I am to have known him. I remember how he came to me and told me that he was on light duties with bruised Ribs because his toddler daughter had jumped on him to wish him good morning in bed, Forgive me Shawn as I had rolled my eyes to you in disbelief. Now I feel so bad that your two Daughters are fatherless. Unfortunately Sgt Eades, we will never have a beer together, to mend what was broken in the past. If I knew this was going to happen like this, Shawn, I would of been a better person and Supervisor to you. Thank you Shawn for your Ultimate Sacrifice and may god take care of your family and yourself in the afterlife. You will be in heaven with two of your Comrades who gave up their lives for Duty, Honor, and Loyalty. God Bless

Hey, never did complain about our achievements, or our atheletes. Where the Heck did I complained about them. What I have been saying is that we should be doing better, and could do better. We are not just a so called Winter Nation or any other excuse. You may be satisfied, I aint, thats all.

[ Sure I'd like to see Canada win some more medals, but I'd rather they put money in to our economy or towards getting the gas prices down because in the long run, whether Canada has 50 medals or 5, it ain't putting food on my table or fish in my livewell or really even affecting how much I love my country. Charles P.S. I'd write more but I have to go eat a Big Mac to make up for misfish to preserve the Law of Conservation of Mass. For me Sport and Fitness is a quality of Life. Its also a health issue. When I went to school we had Gym class every day. Then it went to three times a day. Now in schools Gym is Optional if they even have it. Kids now a days participate in Sports but don't compete in sports. Unfortunately I also seen the deterioration in fitness in the Army Too. No more Calistinics Bad for the knees, instead aerobics with music. No more running in Combat Boots, bad for the legs. The Standard Fitness level has also deteriorated since the augmentation of Females in the Combat trades. Not so Bad in the Combat Trades but there are an awful lot of Fat Soldiers in Uniform that cant do their Duties. As far as the Olympics, like I said if the money is the Problem, I would prefer to give it to the Sport than lets say//Culturism. Maybe it doesnt put food on the table, but maybe it will save you money by not spending it on health issues.

By any chance would this have anything to do with Mr Dress ups Green platform. The CBC is Pro Liberal if you didnt know

Dan C , And you just confirmed what Ive been saying all along. WHO Cares. Certainly you don't. As far as I'm concerned. WE SHOULD DO BETTER. It all starts with our youth. Maybe you Advocate no physical training in Schools, or everybody gets a ribbon because we don't want to hurt the non winner feelings, or we don't compete attitude because it causes dissension, how about winning is not important (Bull). As a very active person all my life and seeing today's youth go through the Military. I think you better care. We have a problem and its showing. Im not satisfied with 2 Gold at this point, if it takes money, Ill be happy to transfer some funds from Arts and Culturism for todays youth. Yea if I had the Talent I would buy a new pair of shoes, I was never afraid to work hard for anything and settle for nothing.

Yup the cheap light Tarp is a must. I had a mummy sleeping bag and ripped it apart getting in. So now I have a normal one which if you think about it is better because you can open it up and use it as a blanket.
