Achieving any sort of record though, not even just in fishing - will ALWAYS result in jealousy, and the contesting of your prize. It doesn't matter what you do. Yeah dude, that's one step down from the portable I use for ice fishing. Very good at determining depth and bottom content. Actually quite good at detecting fish too. You'll be happy with it, if it's anything like mine. You will however want to jerry rig the transducer on something else for ice fishing.

I like the Boo-Yah jigs. Various colors/sizes produce on different days depending when/where you're fishing but as a general rule I like black/blue. Cold water = pork trailer warm water = plastic..
