With the nice weather quickly approaching its time to get fishing gear in order. How low will you let the line on your spool get before changing, spinning and casting reels? Thanks in advance for your input.

Is a Ling the same as a Dog fish? I caught a Dog fish in Simcoe and was told to kill it b/c it was an invasive species.

I was out on Lower buckhorn last Wednesday with 2 of my fishing buddies ans we all got skunked. Truly embarrassing. That place has been a gold mine for bass all summer but we just couldn't figure them out in the colder fall weather.

Hey guys, Heading to Buckhorn tomorrow and wondering if crank baits are still effective in fall type weather or if smaller slower presentation ex: drop shoting is the ticket. Any advice is appreciated.

Good luck Mark, I was there yesterday.... My day started out great at 6am, first cast I caught a 3.5lb large mouth, hours later I caught a 2lb smallie around the same time my friend caught a 5lb large mouth. I fished the whole day leaving at 7pm. It was my first time fishing sparrow and over all I was not that impressed, I dont think I'll be going back to that lake anytime soon. I hope you have better luck than me, I look forward to your report. A bad day fishing is still better than a good day at work.

Nice fish, I Thought we were gonna keep the pink senkos a secret....LOL, I think the pink senkos are like a drug, the bass just cant get enough....My takle box has two kinds of lures, pink senkos and topwater and thats all I need.....Real men fish with pink, isnt that right fishing nut?

I tried a pack of 2" gulp alive minnows and found that they work great. I also had real minnows and alternated between the two all day. I still say that real minnows work better but I was impressed by the gulp stuff. Mainly caught perch and LM bass.

I've been by that spot your talking about and I totaly agree. I think theese people just dont care about how there bad fishing habits will eventually effect the lake, seeing this really makes me sick.

How do you "rip" a jerk bait? I hear alot about this ripping technique. Is it when you do fast long sweeps/strokes with the jerk bait? TIA
