  1. He laughs like the freak from Fish 'n' 4 wheels.
  2. Nice link, thanks for the vid. JP
  3. I have to agree on a couple of things, the fights were less than spectacular but I will love to see Cro Cop tee off on Silvia's head. His opponent's facial expression was like a deer caught in the head lights except he was running scared not just standing there. Anderson Silva's take down defense was less than spectacular as well but nice choke out on Lutter. He needed to be punished a bit more for not making weight for a championship fight when he obviously had a bit of gut left over. Secondly I definitely agree that MMA is waaayyy safer than boxing and most other sports as Mark said. The refs do a great job and keep those guys from getting out of control. They are truly gifted athletes who have sacrificed years of their lives to master so many disciplines. I did notice that there was a lot of booing from the crowd last night because of the "lack of action" in their opinion however 99% of them would be out of breath by just walking to the ring!!! They have no clue how much endurance training these guys do. Can't wait to see the next one, maybe Franklin will bounce back!! JP
  4. Maureen, you are the lucky one. I used to have weekdays off and loved every minute of it. All of the fishing spots had little to no pressure and traffic was better since I would always be going against the grain. Nothing beats seeing the look on peoples faces when you are headed out with a boat hooked up and they are headed into work!!! JP
  5. Get your name in there Maureen it will be a good time with a ton of information. Hopefully you can arrange a day off , there are 5 different dates for the events. If you can't then you are working way too much Brian, how have you been?? That is a great location to pick, a ton of great speakers and topics. JP
  6. Great point Irish. Winds will wreak havoc on ice formation more than the temps sometimes. No winds and cold temps can get you a couple of inches a night, -20 and 50 km winds gets you nothing but a pile of crap on one end of the lake. Be careful out there. JP
  7. That will be on the other chip Lew that will have all of the smaller and not so charted Lakes on it like Lake Muskoka and a bunch in the Kingston area. Navionics Hotmaps Premium - code: CANADA BC, NS, ON , QC PREM-C2 JP
  8. We posted at the exact same time and wanted to remove the post but couldn't figure it out I too am challenge on most days Lew JP
  9. Lew, I just called Jocelyn at Angling Outfitters in Woodstock and asked him about that price, he said it was good but the units are long gone off the market. Further to that he has an Eagle Fishstrike 2000 color combo GPS/Finder for $900 can. including the taxes. You are probably looking at $700 plus duties for the X-17 with taxes and exchange. This could be a good deal for you. By the way, the Navionics chips with all of the lakes in it...the Gold Plus is $249. Hope this helps but it probably confuses things a bit more (sorry) JP
  10. I just got off the phone with Jocelyn regarding the platinum chip. It was my mistake.. I have the Gold Plus which is the most recent version and he sells it for $249. The Platinum chip, like Irishfield said is not made yet and will have Topography lines and satellite imagery but with run with a very hefty $$$ tag. Sorry for the confusion. It's winter and I miss it all already
  11. That's a good deal Lew. 3 years ago they were $1200 or so!!! Make sure you get the Navionics chip to go with it so you can have mapping for St. Clair, Ottawa River, the Larry, Niagara river (upper and Lower), and the entire Trent waterway. Good Luck with it. JP
  12. I got my Platinum chip at Angling Outfitter's in Woodstock. They are one of the best around for Lowrance products. 519 539 5494 Ask for Jocylen. The Platinum chip is dark blue with a silver sticker on it. JP
  13. The Platinum chips have been out all year now. I have been running one since May of 2006. They have everything from the Larry to the 5 Great Lakes plus the Ottawa River and the Trent Severn. Not a bad deal at all. It would cost 3 times the amount to have all of the charts. Plus they work on color units and can zoom in closer than the Gold Series can. JP
  14. Actually there is a new chip out for Lowrance and Humminbird. It's called a Hot Spots premiere I believe. Here's the complete list, plus a ton in Quebec with more to come!! Baptiste And Elephant ON Bay of Quinte * ON Big Gull ON Black ON Bob’s ON Boshkung And Twelve Mile ON Chandos ON Charleston ON Christie ON Crow ON Devil ON Eagle ON Eagle * ON Gull ON Haliburton ON Healey ON Jack ON Kahshe ON Kashagawigamog ON Kawagama ON Kennisis ON Lac Seul ON Lake of the Woods * ON Loughborough ON Mary, Fairy, Vernon & Peninsula ON Mazinaw ON Mississipi ON Opinicion ON Otty ON Paudash and Lower Paudash ON Pikes ON Rainy * ON Redstone ON Six Mile Wallmap ON Temagami ON Three Mile ON White ON Wolfe JP
  15. Hi Lew. if you look on ebay, which is where you will find the best deal, you should be able to get a nice Merc or Yamaha stainless for around $150 + shipping which is way better than the $600 deal suggested price Find out the pitch and diameter of the prop before you go looking though. There are many models out there and only take ones that have not been re built or dinged. You should see around 3 or more MPH with a stainless and don't worry about having a Yamaha prop on there, I ran them on my 90hp and they are good props and very fast as well. Good Luck JP Here's a link to ebay http://motors.listings.ebay.com/Boat-Parts...ListingItemList
  16. Have fun with it Joey, they have an awesome camera crew and the people there are top notch. You'll have a blast I'm sure. JP
  17. Hi Reel North, Hopefully you will get the opportunity to give the show a peek this year as this is the 2nd year that we are focusing on almost everything that the great waters of Ontario have to offer. Here is the list that Karl posted in another thread. Extreme Angler TV got it's start with Largemouth on Trees and Docks and still is an integral part of the show, kind of like a trademark if you will, however with the new format of Educate, Inspire, and entertain, we have gone out and captured what makes Ontario's fishermen tick!!! Fishing in Ontario is more diverse than most places and it will always be a challenge to cover everything. Hopefully we put a few on film that may interest you. JPD

    Minn Kota

The best place with the best price is in Woodstock at Angling Outfitters. Talk to Jocelyn. He is the man for Minnkota and Lowrance and everything else in his awesome store. (519) 539-5494 JP
  19. Nice job, congrats on the bow. Hope you like the new set up. JP
  20. Here's my baby Lola. She's a 10 year old English Springer that acts 2.
  21. Awesome fight. Everything else on that card was rather, well let's just be nice and say crap!!!! GSP looked phenomenal and deserved the win. Silvia looked boring as usual and uncomfortably awkward, again as usual. Looking forward to Tito / Lidell, that should be an awesome fight as well. JP
