He was in a different country!!!!!!! You need to follow rules... This is to prevent smuggling people and keeping illegal immigrants out of our countries... Canada and USA... If your on a border water you should smarten up and follow the rules... And if you dont, don't wine about it when you get caught breaking the law...

I live in the burmuda triangle of borders... In a day I am in Ontario... USA... And Quebec... So I asked a CO if I could get a NY state licence and bring home 5 walleye... He said yes as long as I can explain where I caught them... But this would mean im in possession of 5 walleye in ontario... Wich is illigal!!!! You are only allowed to posses 4... But it's one of those situations where it depends on the CO that checks you... And what kinda moods he is in...

If you are from Ontario and your returning with these fish to Ontario ... The Ontario possession limit is 4 ... Total... So if you get caught with more then 4 you may get a fine... Depends if wether or not th C.O. Believes where you caught the fish... I'd only bring home 4 per person...

Two thumbs down on the perch baits... Way to expensive and the rapalas outfished them big time... 2 rods using rapalas got 12 walleye 1 rod with live target perch... 1 walleye...

I get it... But I dont think this is apples to oranges... Maybe "granny smith" to "royal gala" The st.lawrence, rideau, and Ottawa rivers make a big triangle... They all connect... So that being said it would be legal for me to stock the rideau river and all it's connecting lakes with smallmouth, walleye, and pike from the st.lawrence as long as I transport them by boat???

So you dont think moving fish a hundred miles is worse then me bonking them on the head at home instead of at the launch? I think bass tournament really upset the balance of some fisheries... You talking hundreds of the lake/rivers largest fish being moved to the same spot...

It was just brought to my attention that it is illegal for me to keep my fish alive for the drive back to my house by car... " transporting live sport fish" But a tournament bass angler can run 100 miles ... Catch his bag of bass... Run 100 miles back... And release them at the weigh in 100 miles from where they lived? This doesn't make much sence to me...

Good to know.... Kinda sucks if your driving a couple hours with dead fish in your tank in 30 degree weather... Or you have to take a cooler with ice for every outing... Considering I've never been pulled over in my truck while towing my boat by the MNR and haven't heard of anybody being pulled over while towing by the MNR... I'll stick to keeping my catch fresh and alive when transporting them to my house...

I keep the "water in" pump going pretty much all the time once I've put a fish in the tank... These usualy keeps em alive all day... And I have transported fish home in the livewell filled with water... In the colder months... I've even left them in the livewell overnight to gut in the morning... No issues

Look up "the ship-it shop" if you live near a USA border... I use them for all my USA ordered purchases and it's only $3 for most small packages... They need your name... Phone number... And email address... And when you ship to them you just put ATTN and your name in the comments box or the address box

It's been a tuff start to the year for musky... I've been out twice and only boater 2 skis... Last year my first 2 days gave me 6 skis...

This post doesn't really make sence... Cause if you buy in the USA ... You still pay Canadian tax and sometimes have to pay duty... Wich pays for your healthcare ... Schools... Etc... And even after tax and duty and gas to go to the USA... You still save $$$$ Like I posted earlier... Wholesalers have a price list for American shops... And a different price list for Canadian shops wich is a certain % higher...

Small town fish shops aren't selling to 330 million people...

Ok.... Ok.... I'm over it and have eaten walleye 5 times since I posted this... I haven't seen the eggs cause they are microscopic... I read that the actual tape worm is in the intestine but the eggs are in the flesh... So as long as you fully cook you fish... No worries... And if you must see this worm picture... I'll take one next time I see it... I saw one just the other day...
