I need the name of a good lawyer Sudbury area
ScugogBoy replied to Big Cliff's topic in General Discussion
Mr john (teacher)....why not add into your advice that the Buyer should file a complaint with RECO about the Agent they used to represent them....is it not their duty along with the Selling agent to have verified this type of info? I would file a complaint and have the lawyer sue both Agents and Brokerages involved as they have not done their homework on this property....unfotunately the Agents/Brokerages will have to pay their deductible fee, but "Errors and Omissions insurance" will $$$$$ satisfy the Buyer.......what do you think? -

Ended up heading down to the Show this morning.....I took the "GO" train in and walked over to the Convention Centre (no parking fee this way...can also take the Subway)..... The new venue at the Toronto Convention Centre is "Great".....big, lot's of room , in 2 seperate halls connected (fishing in one and hunting in the other) and very bright as there are huge windows on one wall... I did not need anything but prices seemed good for alot of fishing related stuff...ran into a couple freinds who were very happy with the deals they got. Food is always expensive at these places but.........just in front of the centre were 3 BBQ big trucks (assorted menu)...got a hot dog and fries for only $4.50 (dollar extra for Polish sausage)...make sure you get your hand stamped as you leave the building so you can get back in. Very interesting free fishing seminars I sat through also. I visited an old freind "Phil" who started a new Club in Port Credit...they have a booth there (donated he said from The Sportsman Show) They are recruiting membership for helping raise funds and volunteers to raise 5,000 chinook salmon next month in a Pen to better the fishery off the Credit and help educate young people in this type of stuff.....I think it's called "Port Credit Salmon and Fishing Assoc"...they have alot of great prizes for member sign-ups.......visit them if you go down.......The guy that runs the Show (Walter Osler) has donated alot of booths to these types of organizations I understand and he donates alot of money also.....another reason to go and enjoy this Show... I don't have any connection to the Show, but after being told all this from Phil...I thought it should be put out there... The Show is there and I found it enjoyable...go down and check it out.....or if you don't go.....don't carp about it cause you were not down there to actualy check it out (it has changed this year for the better)

I used the 2" silver with brown sides on Little Lake up in Barrie almost 25 years ago and could not keep the "hammerhandle pike" off the lure.....slow troll gave it the best action.
-
Mr Rick...you have lot's off time for these childrens games.......whatever happened to your "New found Companion"?......did you drop her after she caught bigger fish than you?.... ...hope that's not the case as you seemed to make a good couple and interesting reading on this Board.

I own a Pontiac Vibe....it is a carbon copy of the Toyota Matrix (2009).....the Toyotas are being recalled for the gas pedal problem, but nothing in the media about the GM Vibe........has the same pedal and we do experience a surge when you hit the pedal.........Why is GM not going into the media to warn Vibe owners and start a similiar recall.....called my GM dealership and they could not help me (they were aware of the similiar problem, but they had no instructions on what to do) I would hate to think GM is holding out on us because they just went through a tough time????

Loisamilo....any response to the Kings above Streetsville yet.....were the Zone meetings held?...what seem to be your goals for 2010...thank you sir for your answers and info.....do you chaps ask for input from the public or just formulate your own plans and wishes?...is there an office to send opinions and requests to?...thanks again. -
bigugli.....is it possible to mention the Lake you were on?........was it Simcoe/Erie/Lake O?.......all are big areas and just would like a heads up, as they truly are delicious and plentifull.....thanks for any hints.

Wanted to share this recipe with the Good Members on this Board.....I used it last week for the perch I caught on Simcoe......You can substitute any white flesh fish in it....have used walley and store bought Sole when I'm short of fresh caught fillets (would love to try grouper,snapper,mahi-mahi or other salt water species)....Enjoy....let me know how it turns out if you decide to make this recipe Fish in Tomato Sauce This dish is always served cold — either as part of a smorgasbord, or as the entrée for lunch. Even those who normally don't like fish will think this is delicious! 2 pounds fish (white) fillets 1 kg 1 egg, beaten with a pinch of salt flour, mixed with breadcumbs (for coating) 2 onions, sliced 19 ounce can tomato juice 560 ml 2 bay leaves 1 cup tomato ketcup 250 ml 4 cloves 6 peppercorns oil for frying Prepare fish by cutting into 3 inch long pieces. Dip into egg, coat with flour and breadcrumbs (I use Cronzy's batter). Fry in oil until golden brown, then allow to cool. Pour tomato juice and ketchup into saucepan. Add onion and all spices; simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Arrange fish in square bowl or serving dish. Pour sauce over, cover, and refrigerate overnight. Serve cold.

I also went down Sunday afternoon and totally enjoyed it. It was a nice break from the winter doldrums and the displays were great to look at......alot of knowledgable people there to answer all of my questions. Saw a little mini helicopter there for 2 people that would be great to drop in on some locked in Lakes around the cottage. Was very impressed with the Grady White and Striper (Pro-Line) lineup of boats....they seem to come up with a few little new ideas every year and add to their already sought after boats. I thought it was great value for the money (even after paying $12 for Parking)....where else can you see this many competitors together under one roof and so close to home.....the dealers were eager to haggle on prices also.

Has this happened...I know you st in some "Zone Board"...if they are naturalized will they be allowed above the Streetsville Dam to spawn in good areas? -
I went today and had a blast...Scugog has been slow so we decided to head over to Cooks Bay and give it a shot. For us it was non stop action using minnows and a jig or swedish pimple. I kept 32 over 9" and my freind kept his 25 (conservation licence)....we were only in 9 feet of water over a weed bed, but the bite was on...did not have to move or drill any other holes. I have a couple of pics...you guys want to see them?..or have you seen enough pics of the standard guys on ice in front of their catch?
-
Miss Bly.....also sorry to see you leaving the Board...enjoyed your tales of fishing.....but why don't you tell the good people of this Board why you are leaving...I'm sure others are curious as well...I see you have not left as you keep logging back on but do not post...What's Up?

Sounds like a nice place to visit and enjoy......is your Lake experiencing a new open season during the winter? Has it been open in the past (many years ago?).....What can you expect to catch?.....pickeral and perch I hope!......might be a nice diversion away from Scugog for a weekend....always enjoy new experiences and meeting new people (that may become freinds).

I use to catch them through the ice up in Collingwood off the Pretty River in Feb-March in about 10 feet of water jigging a little cleo for rainbow trout/splake.....they would slowly come over to the lure and hit it with a fast spin of the head.....they were a fun fight as they rolled around the line.....once on the ice, they would stink to high heaven and we would toss them back down the hole.....wish we had kept some as people say they are fantastic to eat..."freshwater cod" was the term used....Good Luck.
-
Size is not huge...about 8-10 inches...but tasty....forgot to mention that we take the boat out at night and float around these areas....but if you can access them from land I'm sure you'll do OK as we were tossing the offerings only a few feet from shore....
-
Just a brief update...the "black lobster slabs" are starting to get active near small culvert runoffs....we hit a few dozen over the last few cold nights...but got nothing last night with the warmer temps. Why do I call them "black lobster slabs"???....we clean them and simply boil the chunks in hot salted water.....then put them in the fridge and next day dip them in "cocktail sauce" and enjoy the cold beers you have with them......small emerald shiners under a slip float or even "glow pink" salted tubes are working.......funny that no pickeral are in the same area as the crappie........yet?????

Mr Lew..very nice boat and summer cottage (but I have to ask....does "Bubbles" live next door?...... ) I'm fairly new on this board and wonder why you won't post pictures of the muskies you say you catch? Was it a bad summer for catching or is it a personal thing about taking pictures? Anyhow.....enjoy your trailer and new boat....look forward to maybe meeting you (shoot me a PM...hook up with me if you like on Scugog...I have house on the water and can show you my tricks for getting Musky to hit live bait suspended under a "big slip float")....or even better we can land some pickeral from my dock and enjoy a feed and a few cold ones.
-
I don't post much, but wanted to let you shore fisherman know that the water is cooling down on Scugog and it's possible to land a nice meal from shore now. I was out at the end of my dock last night and hooked into a few decent pickeral using shiner minnows and a slip bobber in only 4 feet of water.....the pics are coming onto the shoreline to chase minnows at dark...my suggestion would be to find a creek or culvert off the shore and pop in a live minnow under a slip float (good spot would be downtown at the public launch on the east side-it dips in there and has a nice culvert....go early to beat out the "shore rats" that come at dark)....or find a nice point that has a dock or sandy bottom with no weeds. Watch out for the odd Musky that will follow in the pickeral.....we got one last Spring off the dock.
-
No, as I mentioned in my original post we were just casting 3" rapalas from the dock........the musky was probavly cruising around looking for an easy meal.
-
Sorry I could not find my post from last week....maybe I accidently hit the delete button?...Sorry Anyhow...GCD had asked to see a picture of the musky we accidently hooked while catching eyes on Scugog last week....here it is-sorry for the poor quality...it was taken with a phone camera.. To those guys that PM'd me and asked for a location.....I've sent you back directions...by the way.-this weekend was just as good...we were busy eating walley for breakfast/lunch and dinner-so we could get back on the dock and catch our legal limits...
-
Last weekend was a "hot" bite......I'm on the far east shore below the River...the eyes were chasing the minnows like crazy onto the gravel beds and shallows just after dark. Off my dock I landed and released 15 eyes in one night- all in the 2- 2 1/2lb range (kept 2 for the pan). The hot lure was a jointed rapala in silver/red...3"..... Unfortunately I hooked/landed a 44" musky that night also.....I had a hard time reviving as it was a catastrophe trying to unhook and release it...... Don't know if it made it, but can only hope..... Fishing should be good this weekend also as the shiners are still pressing into the shallow water...
-
I'm just sitting on my deck looking out over Scugog and you can feel the humidity rolling in here already.....suppose to be upwards of 27 here today. Can't wait a couple more weeks till pics open up. I'll be watching the rednecks race later.....should be exciting.

I hope you are not being a "bully" because your group happens to be "lucky' enough to get funding under the percieved pretense that you do stream rehab...etc for the good of all fish species and are now admitting that you have a "special interest" only in steelhead...? I find your CRAA group a bit deceptive in that their "mandate" differs from their actual workings...can you post CRAA's mandate for all to see? -
I live on Scugog and the water is still too cold...maybe a week from now you will see the "eyes" move into the "backcountry"....the canals off to the side of the Hwy and start their annual ritual. We do have a bunch of eyes that stay in the Lake and do their thing on some gravel shoals...weird eh?
