  1. Typical; you don't like it or don't agree with it; he's an ass H. I live on Sturgeon Lake I just cleaned 20 dead rotting fish off my shore line (67'), there wasn't one there on Friday. You can blame it on anything you want but every year it's the same story; tourniment = dead fish. Welcome to the board Dave but be ready, no matter what you post someone is going to jump all over you!
  2. Love to see you young guys hooking up and building friendships many of which will last a lifetime!
  3. I will look forward to that my friend! I would really enjoy it!
  4. No butter needed, going to bake a nice crusty loaf tomorrow morning, got a nice bottle of red wine some extra virgin olive oil and I am going to relax, enjoy and forget about the problems of the world. I have had prosciutto many times, I can't remember ever enjoying one this much!
  5. Well I have to say a very special thank you to Albert and Paul. Albert sent me a very special treat and Paul delivered it (un scather BTW Albert) today. I tried a little sample of it a few minutes ago and it is absolutly fantastic! Thank you both so much!
  6. Nice! So did you stay to help him?
  7. I don't think it's funny at all, I have a lot of friends in the Milton area about that age and I'm worried that it might be one of them. I still can't find out who it is that was shot though.
  8. Thanks Terry !
  9. Ya, I hope some day to be as old as my buddy beans LOL. When you get that old you can't remember what you had for breakfast never mind what was on the news last night! Now, what were we talking about?
  10. Trying to get some details, apparently a 68 year old man was injured in a hunting accident NW of Milton this morning. Can anyone provide any information on who it was?
  11. OK, you don't like my posts but you keep reading and responding to them, if you don't like them quit reading them! I have everything? You too can have everything! All you have to do is what I did: work 6 days a week for the last 40 years, get your wife to work too, save like crazy, do without lots of fancy trips and plenty of other things and you too can own a nice waterfront property a boat and an ATV (I don't know what other "toys" you were refering to.) What I'd really like to do is keep what I have spent my life working for (at least until my time comes) and not loose it because some stupid ass politician wants to piss everything I have done to get here up against the wall. Oh, and as for fishing reports, last time I posted one on here I got slammed right left and center because "everyone knows where I live and so they can surmise where I am catching fish". That was the last fishing report from this grumpy old man! This may be a fishing board but in the 16+ years I have been here I've asked lots of stupid questions, made some really dumb mistakes but I have never once regretted asking a question to try to learn something I don't understand. Smiles! BC
  12. I just watched our PM on the news trying to speak in the house, he can't even string a sentence together ah, well, like, ah..... I, ah, well, um, ......embarrising!
  13. Heck Brian if things keep going the way they seem to be going I won't be able to afford to go fishing any more so it'll really be NF
  14. If I understood what I heard on the radio today the provincial government paid the teachers unions something in the range of 80 million$ to help cover the costs of negotiation a contract with the provincial government? PLEASE help me understand this (and I'm not joking) if this is true, how can they get away with this and not be charged with corruption? Am I correct in understanding that now that the Liberals are in power they are changing the way we vote so that it will make it more difficult for any other party to get into power? Is it true that they are now changing the way political donations are made so as to limit anyone elses having the resorces to challange them? Oh, and one other thing I heard today: Apparently Wynne is going to impose new taxes on natural gas to try to force us to go back to using hydro for heating our homes. Please tell me this is some kind of sick joke!
  15. Probably the best advice on here so far, it's a policy I have decided to adopt! Yup, one step at a time!
  16. Takes a pretty special person to change their fishing plans to help someone out! Good on you Ernie!!
  17. You came all the way from Hamilton to help? That is way above and beyond! Good on you!!!!!!
  18. Just trying to repay the kindness you and others have shown me over the years. Glad it is all working out.
  19. Cold front and walleye bite = a bit of a challange but I have seen us breaking ice on opening weekend and still catching our limits. I'd rather be fishing than sitting at home wishing I was fishing!
  20. On Sturgeon Lake they seem to carry too far!
  21. OK, I am working tomorow but should be home by late afternoon (4 or 5 ish). If it will help, I will take you to pick up the kids (have Nissan Rogue) so you, I and two kids or give me addresses and I will go get them and deliver them to you. I will also drive you around to pick up whatever stuff you need tomorrow night or Saturday morning. Now I can not promiss that I will be available to take the kids back home on Sunday but if you needed me to and I can, I would be happy to do it for you. My cell is 705-928-8899 call if any of this will help. Cliff (don't make it late, I start work at 4 am so I'll be going to bed early)
  22. When we moved here 16 years ago we never saw any of them, now there seems to be more of them than geese around here. I don't hunt anymore but I would start again if they ever opened a season for cormorants and I'd be right behind Sinker in that line to buy a license.
  23. Glad it all worked out for you! $1500.00 is still a lot of money but having a pro do it instead of taking a chance is good insurance!
  24. I wish I could help but I'm not that kind of mechanic.
