  1. Hey guys, going to Scougog for the third time in search of a muskie. Just wondering if it is productive while it's raining? Or should I ask has anyone caught one while it's been pissing? Going Satarday by myself and wondering if they are more aggresive when it rains. Last week my son and I caught a 4lb bucket mouth off a red bucktail tipped with a white grub, also surprised to see a crappie hit it too! I have pic's but can't figure out how to crop them to fit without keeping them that size.
  2. I too went to there on Sunday and got skunked, but I did manage to pull out mister bucket mouth on a red bucktail tipped with a with grub! I here they are all after the spinners so the next time I'm out that's all I'm going to use.
  3. thanks guys for the reply's! My son has been on the boat with me for hours, he like's to bring toys on the boat. His routine is fish for a bit and than play, fish, play. I agree with all of you on fish for small which I would be doing, but also I will be casting bucktails into weeds.
  4. Hello fellow fishermen! Well first off need help on finding these tooth critters. I'm planning on taking my little guy who is five and try for these fish. If I caught one, I don't know who would be more excited, me or him! I got Dave mercer's map and wondering if it produces fish in the area's that are marked.
  5. Sorry to hear that man! My car was raided like that for smokes and change, I feel your pain knowing you where violated! But what do we expect when were the dumb ones to leave our car doors unlocked.
  6. Well another day gone and no steelies! Went to Bayfield today and nothing. Can someone give me a list of rivers to go too since lake huron is not treating me good. Been to Port Albert and the Maitland and today was Bayfield. I'm running a 8lb main line and 6lb lead and float fishing. Feel like I should just sell my float reel and take up turkey hunting! LOL
  7. Hey guys and gals! Just wanted to know if there is any good creeks or rivers in Burlington to fish for Steelies? I know Bronte is there but wondering if there any other area's that have proven to have bows and browns in them.
  8. Thanks guys for the help! Will be tying tonight!
  9. Hey guys, just wondering how big should I make my roe sacks? I have some trout eggs and wondering how many eggs I should put in them? I'm float fishing!

  14. I love to float fish, but when you got people throwing spoons under the rebeeca street bridge! That's why i hate going any where near Toronto. No respect and all people that love to fish fair like myself, do your self a favor and do the DRIVE!
  15. I personally don't like Bronte, but to each there own! I hate the fact that it smells at petro park like dead fish! Not enjoyable, and hate that people there and i've seen it cut the head off a female and stick it to a tree branch and take the eggs! I love to fish and that creek is at the bottom of my list.
  16. That was funny! But to be honest, all I hear from my 4 year old is that dam transformer song. It's only going to get worst because Santa has spent over 200 dollars on transformers!

Sorry guys, thought i would share the story for the people that are planing going for the steelie's. The water was fairly high and not as merky as Port Albert. Once again guys sorry for no pic, but I will show Joonmoon at work and he can vouch for me! I Don't LIE!!!!! lol.
  20. Well started off with going to Port Albert. Arrived there at 8:30am, and fished there for 3 hours! Not a single hit, and didn't even see one fish jump! So I decided to head down to the salt mines in Goderich and hit the Maitland. Glad I did, because I landed my first Steelie ever. Weighed in at 8 lbs and caught it on pink roe!
