Well I'm only going to be using a crossbow so deer and turkey! I'm a whimp when it becomes cold so i'm looking for heavy coat and bib. Also I'm just learning how to hunt course is on 24 of this month and hopefully will have bow by the end of the month. So help would be most apperciated, or even better someone will take me under there wing! LOL

Well head out to Scugog today with the wife. NO KIDS! Fishing was slow and the wife started the day off with a nice bucket mouth that shook lose boat side. Rain was not bad and a little chilly, but I toughed it out and I'm glad I did, got my PB 44.5". When I frist felt the hit I tried to set the hook, but it spit it out. I knew it was a muskie but did not know how big since I could not see it. Second cast out, reeling very slow and BANG tried to set the hook but again it would not bite down hard. Now i'm shaking and think it's gone, third cast BANG! I set the hook this time for I almost went backwards into the water. The fight was on and I knew this was BIG, I was shaking and the wife was shaking and see for yourself! Oh by the was like too thank Joonmoon for the muskie tips.

I was thinking about going to Picton bay. My question is, good for jigging? I here that they are deep and I love to jig but how do I get down 40ft with a jig? Never fished the lake before and went and bought a map so after my weekend camping with the little guy, I want to start going after some big eyes. Help would be most apprciated!

That was caught on Sunday the 13th. It was on Scugog and caught it around wasburn island. The lenght is 38 incher. Next is Nosbonsing in two weeks!

Well headed to my favorite lake and of course targeted muskie. Well landed this one around 9:30 in the morning, I've put countless hours on this and I'm so proud. Now my wife wants me to stay home since I finally got what I was searching for all year. But I want more!

I have caught a couple of walleye's on spinners and jigging with gulp leeches and minnows.

Well today I finally caught my first muskie and brought it on board. Yes at Scugog. it is now 11:33pm and very tired, and will upload my first 38 incher. Thought I almost lost it when I tripped on the middle bench on my boat.

Hey just wanted to know when fishing for wallies, should I use a floro leader? I have 20 lb braid on and wondering when jigging for them should i use a leader?

I do it all the time with my little guy when we go fishing! I find a free boat launch or a nearby carpool and crash for the night. Going to be doing it soon again at Scougog.

well figured out the photo issue and now you see the bucket mouths! The wallies are on the cell phone and no I will not give myself the headache on how to transfer them to my computer. Can't wait to hit Scugog again!

Well had a great day on the water. Got there around 8am and fished until 4pm, looked at port perry and saw the clouds rolling in so that was my indcation that it is time to get off the lake. Caught two walleyes frist one was in 15ft with a orange jig and a gulp 3 inch leech. Than decided to go and work the weeds with my white spinner tipped with a white grub. Caught lots of 2-3lb bass, also caught a small walleye with it and for the grand finale the musky hit it and took me for a ride! It started to do a 180 around my boat, right towards my drift sock. So I keeped the tension on and tried to pull the sock in while fighting the beast and all of a sudden, who knew musky jump out of the water? That was my first musky on and now I have had the taste and want it again! I can't figure out how to crop my pic's so sorry guys the only pic's are of the bass! Yes I am referring to the Ontario out of doors! Now does anybody now where the public boat launch is in bonfield? I think I'm going to hit the lake some point in this month.

Hey everyone, just reading one of my outdoors magz and reading an articale about the lake. Has anyone fished the lake and would share some pointers. One of the things in the articale they talked about the sunken island. Where is it? All I know about the lake is Astroville is on the west and Bonefield is too the east. Thinking really hard about hitting the lake, have not been there in 8 years. When I went, I stayed at Happy Holidays and we went to through the narrows to the middle and started to drift for wallies.

Ok I'm going to change my line, but I know I need to put backing on. I heard that you can use electrical tape, now do I put it on around the spool and than put the line on, or tie the main line to reel than tape the line to reel? I don't know how to tie two lines together, and yes I have tried many times, looked at video's and I still couldn't figure it out! So I will take the easy way!

It was a great day though! I'm lossing faith in the weathernetwork, since they did call for light rain. Although I didn't land a ski, I did learn a few trick for crappie fishing! It was very humorus watching joonmoon get soaked for I warned him about the rain. I think I almost pissed myself laughing. Anyways we will get out again for I had a blast, and finally someone that fishes with sense!LOL

Is that Scugog? Nice ski, I'm still trying for my first! LOL going to hit sturgeon on Sunday in hope's that lake brings me luck. All I want to do is take it's picture!

Hey man I was there today and all I got was a SKUNK! LOL, but on the other hand the wife and boy got alot of sunfish! Just curious, where did you land your big brutes? I launched from Grorvski's and went north to the washburn island.
