I have a Honda Ridgeline and love it. Drives like a Accord with all the amenities of a truck!!!
Scooter
And I have a Honda Pilot and love it!!!

I have several browsers installed on my machines as I have been doing a little web design lately.
I still use IE8, but have FireFox, Google Chrome and Safari from Apple on my machines.
There are things I do and don't like about all of them though.

That's doing the same thing to me so i will look at that. I get a 'resend information' advisory. Probably a session setting but may also be a security feature.
Didn't take long to fix it.

Hmmmmm, I haven't seen a single Robin yet this year.
Probably a little early for them up here, that and it was -30 last night!!!!

Other than a few red X's here and there I have only found one annoying thing so far.
That is when I read a post and hit my back button to go back to the previous menu I get a web page expired warning and have to refresh and click on another warning to get back to the page.

If it works the same as some other jurisditions, call the Conservation Authority that governs the watershed area. Then call the local Ministry of the Environment Office. You can call the SAC number (above) but call and talk to the environmental officer that deals with that area personally.
I would be shocked if this undertaking had a permit, if it did they didn't follow it at all. Permitting of this nature is usually done by the CA with input from the province and feds, fisheries act violation for sure.
Exactly, if found to be outside of the law thay will have to put it back the way it was and get a nice hefty fine to boot!!!!

The Salmon River in Pulaski NY on the Eastern end of Lake O. would be a good choice.
Check the NY boards for info.

Like Mike Holmes says "Do it right the first time!!"
Steam, strip, repair, paint, stand back and admire your handywork!!!!

The Canadian Forces both was THE BEST!! how often do you get to see a Mark 46 torpeedo !! and a sniper rifle at the same time.
Yep, that's why I stopped going to the sportsmens show long ago.
I was paying my money for the fishing, hunting, boating, camping and retriever trials and when the show started to become more about stuff that had to nothing with that (like sham wow salesmen, sunglasses, sausages etc.) I bailed and haven't been in over 15 years!!!
What the heck do weapons of war have to do with fishing, hunting and outdoor sports!!! I don't think they are permitted for use during the deer or moose seasons.

I have booked a fishing trip in Ontario (Northern Expeditions out of Hornepayne) and I understand there is a 13% harmonized tax.
Non-residents are granted a 6 1/2 % rebate on the tax. Is it a hassle for the outfitter to give this rebate at the time of final payment or do forms have to be sent in to the government It would sure be a nice service to clients if an instant rebate can be given.
Seanik
My guess is there are forms to fill out like there were with the GST rebates for visitors.
Don't expect the outfitter to do the governments work.

AS far as I'm concerned I would just go with the sat phone option, when I had mine, back 4 or 5 years a go, they had an emergency # and dedicated operator that knew your GPS position for rescue. The phones are not that expensive and airtime starts at $35 a month, unlimited...
To me (my opinion) make the spot device a bit useless if your going to be in the bush out of touch more than a few times per year.
Unless Global Star has launched new satellites stay away from them as their coverage sucks since a number of their satellites died.
Iridium sat phones work extremely well but are rather spendy to buy. But you can get prepaid cards for them.
I will be carrying the company Iridium with me on my epic camping trip in a week and a half.
Stay tuned for a detailed report after Easter.

Solo and I were discussing the shows just last week and he brought up a very good point.
That being the internet being the downfall of these shows. Since the net became popular you see fewer and fewer exhibitors, especially outfitters. Back in the day the only way they could drum up business was to attend the shows, but now they use the internet to advertise their services. If you are looking to go on a fly out somewhere just Google it and you can spend hours pouring through info on the area you want to go to. Back in the day you had to go to the show, see the outfitters and pick up a brochure.
Even tackle shops are selling there wears on the internet and don't bother to hit the shows. LeBaron's used to have a huge presence at the shows, then several years back they stopped going.

I drove the ice road to the East Arm of Great Slave Lake to check on conditions for my vacation later this month. Then when I got back did some maintenance on my snowmobile and went out for a ride.

The Ganaraska forest has 11,000 acres of forest with motorized use after May 1st.
I don't know about your area, but there aren't many places left where you can "legally" ride ATV's, in southern Ont.
s.
Yep, used to ride there a lot.
There's some good riding down by Fort Erie too.

Here's my latest. Not as sweet as April though.
This is a seat I'm building for my latest build, a Sage Z-Axis 7136-4 Spey conversion.
The skeleton hardware is Struble nickel silver and the wood is dyed and stabilized spalted big leaf maple burl.

so you put a bit of oil on your wood when you set to polishing it eh.
Turned out really nice.
Is there a reason for the hockey puck other than looks?
Possibly protecting the butt when you set it on the ground?
Just looks with this finish but when rubbing on oil you can leave it uncoated to act as a regular butt cap.
If you were to coat it with stock finish it would crack and wear off quickly. The CA finish is much more durable than stock finish, varathane or rod finish.
Another reason for the puck is to finish off the butt cap. The wood is turned on a mandrel so there is a 5/16" hole all the way through it. The solid piece of rubber is epoxied on when the wood part is finished. I then thread the wooden part to accept a short threaded mandrel to finish turning and finishing. You can't turn the wood piece on the short mandrel because it is only supported on one side and there would be too much deflection in the mandrel.

Do a compression check on it and I think you'll find you have one cylinder low on compression due to a cracked head as irishfield suggests. Also pull the plugs and lets have a look at them.
The double double Tim's look is not a good thing.

Shiny enough for you Mike?

WOW, that's a lot of highs and lows for one day!!
Sorry about your buddy.

I always use a mono or flouro leader for abraision resistance, especially when trolling and bouncing my lures off bottom.
Too many times I have had clients not use a leader and all of a sudden when trolling the line will break right in front of the lure where it has been banging off bottom.
It's a good thing T60 Flatfish float!!!!
Oh, and for knots, Palomar, Uni and Back to Back Uni.

This is friggin' hilarious!!!!!

Yep, exactly. In todays web development society it is considered taboo to pop up new windows.
Thank goodness for the back button.![;)](https://ontariofishingcommunity.com/uploads/emoticons/default_wink.png)
PS. FYI, I still see one red X in my emoticons tray and one hovering over the bookmark tab.![B)](https://ontariofishingcommunity.com/uploads/emoticons/default_cool.png)
