  1. Very good point dan. i was actually thinking of buying some of the closed cell expansion foam, and adding it into the boat. where i could.

    thanks again

Make sure you don't buy the 1/2# foam as it will absorb water.

Get 2# foam and it will last for ever.

  2. here's a fact. we're in the playoffs right now, you're not. good luck ignoring that fact.

And that would mean a lot if the playoffs were now and not two months from now.

Right now it means absolutly BUPKISS!!!! :tease: :tease: :tease:

Heck, by next week the two teams could reverse positions. :ninja:

  3. The ones I was catching were easily double or triple the size of those. I would have taken a picture but I was afraid to as the mnr was buzzing around, and I wasn't sure if I was allowed to since your not allowed to posess them.

I know how big they are as I spent my youth jigging them up through the ice on Simcoe.

Nipissing has some big'uns too. ;)

The biggest I have seen here so far is in the 7"-8" range.

If we want bigger bait we use whitefish. :D

  4. I'm with you on this..Leafers relax were only 3 points out! That's nothing. Burke thinks they can do it and so do I! Now that the boys can relax and forget the trades they can get back to their game! Burke knows what he is doing..I just think a couple of Sens fans are doing a good job at getting us down..I cant wait till its our turn.Again.

It would be nice to face the Sens in the first round and watch them choke again. :whistling:

I love it when that happens.

Too bad it has been so long. <_<

  5. Have you tried to tighten the rivets yet? I only use sealant on rivets that have been pounded flat, and can not be tightened anymore. At that point, it's either replace the rivet, or seal it.

If your only option is to seal, then I would try 3M 4200 or 5200 marine adhesive. You can get it at Canadian tire in the marine section. The stuff that I used takes a good 3 days to cure. But once it's set up, it stays flexable, and doesn't leak a drop.

As for the foam.. That's preference. I would like to have it for safety purposes. But my boat doesn't currently have any foam in it at all.

The 4200 is slow cure and the 5200 is a fast cure.

The 5200 cures in 24 hrs.

  6. My biggest goal this year is to get out more during the short Arctic open water season. :whistling:

I always seem to be working around the house too much and end up not getting out on the water. <_<

I want to get into my goto pike ice fishing lake during open water so I can slay a bunch of giant gators on the fly too.

Another goal that I hope to acomplish on my vacation in less than a month is to land a 70#+ Tarpon on a centerpin setup. And get a bunch of good HD video of the accomplishment. :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:

  7. I think Reimer needs to sort himself out after that concussion, I wouldn't throw him on the chopping block just yet. Enough of the knee jerk reaction trades because the guys has had a bad few weeks (Even if this is the wrong time to be in a slump)..

Not only that the fact that Burke still has faith in him and turned down trading him should perk Reimer up. Hopefully it will nudge him back in the right direction, it will be one less thing to worry about anyway.

  8. LOL, ever go to a Dirt track race? .... You turn right to turn left, Now that's racing. :)

I am a fan of all sorts of motorsports, Dirt track oval's being my personal favorite, but i'll watch and follow pretty much anything.

Fingers still crossed for an evening start!

Dirt ovals and tiny cars with 800hp and direct drive. Outlaws baby!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

  9. Oh they lost, but they played well and almost came back. Good fight by Neil and good hit. Alfie(PRAISE ALFIE) got a coulpe nice goals and now we have a replacement goalie.....wanna borrow him?

    Bwahahaahaha

Oh and were still in the playoffs

Oh, you got a replacement for your goalie that doesn't know how to use cutlery?

Probably be cheaper to teach him how, don't you think?

Here are some pointers. Maybe you can send him the links so this type of thing won't happen again. ;)
