  1.

Haven't listened to CFNY since Dave Marsden left, the format changed and the " Spirit of Radio " died. CHUM FM was actually great station back in the early 70's too. Thank god for internet stations no good OTA stations anymore.

    Remember Pete and Geets :clapping:

Of course I remember Pete & Geets.

Been listening since they started broadcasting out of the old farm house in Brampton. :)

I used to work a Friday night show @ RPM with Chris Sheppard, The Live Earl Jive and Beverly Hills back in the day too. :D

Yes, it certainly isn't what it was but at least Allan Cross is still around. ;)

  2. He must of came with some conditions?,get rid of all the free loaders, and we know who they are I might add.Just can't see him coming for the same crap we have for the last couple years.Don't see it.

I think the biggest difference is that he will sit the free loaders rather than play them if they continue to be free loaders.

I know I would if it were my job. First you sit on the bench a bit if you're not giving 110% then if no improvement you get to sit in the stands until you get the point!!!

  3.

Doesn't work very well if you want to listen to the radio :)

It does if you pair it with your phone and stream from your favorite stations web site. ;)

Actually works better than a radio.

I stream CFNY 102 here and I know my radio can't pick it up from 5,500kms away!! :whistling:

  4. Could it be? :fingers crossed:

The Detroit Red Wings and Buffalo Sabres are reportedly out of the running to land head coach Mike Babcock, who is expected to decide his destination today.

Toronto is now widely believed to be the most likely landing spot for the respected coach, with San Jose another possibility.

Babcock, 52, is still under contract with the Red Wings through June 30, but Detroit granted him permission to speak with other teams and will receive a third-round draft pick as compensation if he departs.

Babcock was reportedly in Buffalo on Tuesday for a second round of talks. Sabres owner Terry Pegula has deep pockets, but the team is in the midst of a massive rebuilding project and finished with the worst record in the league this season.

Toronto may also be considering an overhaul after missing the playoffs for the second straight year despite the presence of talented offensive players like Phil Kessel and James van Riemsdyk.

Babcock's teams made the playoffs in each of his 10 seasons with Detroit, and he won the Stanley Cup in 2008. He also guided Canada to Olympic gold in 2010 and 2014.

  5. Way too much prop by the sounds of things.

WOT on those Mercury 4 strokes should be between 5500-6000 RPM.

Look @ the prop and let us know what the info on it is.

According to my guesstimation on the Merc prop selector these would be the best options for your boat.

I would suggest one of the 4 blade aluminium spitfire props. Not expensive and great performance.

  6. I picked up a set of submersible trailer lights from CT. They provide merits to connect the wires at the lights? Would that not short out the light when submerged? I was expecting to connect the wires at the pug or a different connection with shrink tubs?? Any advise would be appreciated.

    Use heat shrinkable crimp connectors.

They are totally waterproof when sealed.

They have them @ my Canadian Tire here.

There is hot melt glue on the inside of the heat shrink tube to seal the connection.

  7. Depending on what glue they used you may be able to get by with just the scraper I suggested.

That is all I used, but I did replace with carpet and any slight imperfections were not noticeable.

I would go with the scraper and if you need to get it smoother try the acetone or other glue removing liquids or a wire wheel on a drill to get it smooth enough for your liking.

That one would work; but it's a click on and click off type switch. I think he'd be better off with a momentary switch; meaning you would have to hold the switch on in either the up or down position and shuts off when released.

The catalogs usually list them with these abbreviations "Mom On/Off/Mom On" in their description.

Something like this one; but water resistant.

I would think most any marine parts counter can get you one; if you can't find one online?

    Found this one on iBoats

    Dan.

    You are correct Dan.

Missed that it wasn't a momentary switch. ;)

  9. Fair enough..lol

Anyway I said earlier I broke apart the trim switch when pulling the wires off the back. Im looking for new one that will fit..Size doesnt seem to be an issue as they all look pretty much the same size..But all I can find are on off on switches. I need a trim switch that returns to neutral when not being used. On or off wont work, Does anyone know what that switch is called? I searched trim switch and rocker switch but cant come up with the right one does anyone know where I can find one..Here is the size and similar type I need but not on off on

The switch you want is a double pole, double throw, center off switch. ;)

  10. My trailer axle has an EZ lube system. The grease nipple is on the end of the spindle, and sends grease to the inside bearing first, then to the outside, then out the relief hole. I havent added grease in years. I check them in the fall, and they're always good. If grease cant get out, water cant get in. Its simple.

    S.

    Those hubs/axels are awesome!!!

The only thing better is the oil bath hubs. :)
