I have a 16ft bo and 2.5ph kicker 80% of the time it is fine but wind and wave and I do lose control of the boat just start the main motor to power me strait and continue on my trolling way..I have the steering hooked up to the main motor and use the steering wheel to drive but have no control of the gas with out running back to the motor to change speed I have a 5hp honda too and 92% of the time it work great with no control problems, again it is hooked up to the main motor but have no way to change the throttle without going back tot eh motor I would say I would never have a problem if I could just speed up the motor

So one of my 2 GMRS/FRS radios battery pack died they were the more expensive ones and are 4.something volts rather then 3. something volts which is what most are the radios work great better then most peoples radios, so buy a new battery seemed to be the way to go I went on a quest to find a replacement battery pack...... Well the best I could find was 44 bucks...plus the cost of driving to buy it or shipping charges which were much cheaper then driving that was too much when you consider the cost of a new radio I decided to look in the US....... found the batteries much much cheaper down there one place it was $10.05 $10.05...not $44.00 they wanted a fair bit for shipping but it was still a great deal as I was checking out I saw if you spend 30 bucks or more, shipping was free anywhere in North America well you never know when my other battery might die and it couldn't hurt to have a back up so changed order to 3 batteries, free shipping to my door all in taxes and everything else 32 bucks still 12 bucks cheaper the one in Canada and I would still have to pay shipping and taxes http://batterybarn.com if you need replacements life is good and I had better quit typing, I am just back from the dentist and and meds are just kicking in....

some of the power head trolling motors you can't put it on the shaft except at the very bottom because shaft slides all the way through the power head each time you stow it

they sound like they would be good for some applications I use fiberglass casting rods for open water/deep water crank baits my hook up % went way up when I started using them, I use to get hits and miss a lot of fish. I think I was reacting too fast and pulling the bait away from the fish...but with the fiberglass rod the fish has a second or two more before I set the hook and I am getting more to the boat so a fiberglass carbon mix should work about the same way

well you can tell I really don't own one LOL...

I feel your pain and that's why I have 8 video cameras around my property and an UZI under my bed ok no UZI but I am looking for one..LOL

I think it is a great idea however I see cheating..... give me a computer on board and a usb cable and all my bass are 32 inches long.. when you are dealing with big bucks, people will cheat

impale flapping helplessly struggling fish hooked these are words to make you feel sorry for the fish they are to get people emotional ..it's not reporting facts...it's twisting a story to give it a P3TA feel they don't feel pain the same way a dog does they do not feel fear......the struggling when hooked is a natural instinct to flee when attacked ... this has been proven in studies they hook a fish and yes it tries to get away you leave the hook in the fish and put it in a live well and almost instantly calms down and is not bothered by the hook sure it's not a perfect world we live in, but I kill them as fast as I can and the circle of life goes on

The following comes from an email I received; I can't confirm the results with the site which doesn't seem to have been updated since April, but even if they aren't the final Darwin Awards 2008 winners, the list is worth sharing. Ninth Place In Detroit, a 41-year-old man got stuck and drowned in two feet of water after squeezing head first through an 18-inch-wide sewer grate to retrieve his car keys. Eighth Place A 49-year-old San Francisco stockbroker, who totally zoned when he ran, accidentally jogged off a 100-foot high cliff on his daily run. Seventh Place While at the beach, Daniel Jones, 21, dug an 8-foot hole for protection from the wind and had been sitting in a beach chair at the bottom when it collapsed, burying him beneath 5 feet of sand. People on the beach used their hands and shovels trying to get him out but could not reach him. It took rescue workers using heavy equipment almost an hour to free him. Jones was pronounced dead at a hospital. Sixth Place Santiago Alvarado, 24, was killed as he fell through the ceiling of a bicycle shop he was burglarizing. yeah but as you get bigger the price sure jumps up I have the hds-5 and I use it as my fishfinder I have an older X-25C 7" and I use it as the gps......and I love it I see no reason to spend the big bucks for the expensive screens for a GPS find an older used one and use the smaller 5" screen for the finder
