and I see all rescues as the same..equal... so all should pay or no one should pay can you image..you 8 year old son sticks his tongue on a frozen fence post and his tongue sticks...2 fire trucks and 8 men show up to free him and you get a 5000.00 bill from the fire dept. get use to it

I put in an order for a rescue air boat..and I am going to start an ice rescue service....they charge 5000.00 a rescue, i will charge 2000 bucks a rescue wonder if I can get a number like 822 or *911 or 1800in the water

so you don't see sidewalks near roads..you never hear of someone falling on a sidewalk and ending up on the road..there are cars and trucks on the road that can hit that person that falls on icy sidewalks..well is it not stupid to walk on slippy sidewalks..they should be charged hell fined , even if it's their estate, because they are dead from the truck that hit them and I will bet you any amount of money that more people have died from falling on sidewalks the icefishing..and I will bet there has been more rescues of falls then icefishing... and again my point charge/ fine every time firemen leave the station or not at all do single out fishermen

people don't want to know the facts..not when you can call him a moron and proudly state your better then that if you can't put someone down to build up your own ego, then whats the point of the interweb

as is people driving in thick fog, or icy road conditions skateboarding down steep slopes and every other dangerous activity that you can make a choice to do or not to do

they can tattoo a big L on your forehead to know when you have used your "rescue one time card"

not a big walker but after yesterday when guys were walking down icy sidewalks and less than 5 min later he fell 3 times and then run back and jump icy walkways because the piece of ice let go. this just cements the idea if you are dumb enough to play a dangerous game then you have to pay .

I never said they were not stupid, and I hope I make better choices but every single rescue of any type puts the firemen at risk , fires are about the most dangerous rescues going and water/ ice rescues in ontario are among the safest rescues going..and if you look at how few rescuers have died in water/ ice rescues in ontario, they stats will prove me right

how many people drive their cars in nasty fog...when you can't see the car in front of you..you should stay home or get off the road till it clears up one could argue it is gross negligence caused by lack of common sense. if you cause an accident or get into an accident under those conditions so by you logic everyone on the road should be charged and anyone who needs rescuing should pay the price...........I see no less cars vgoing to work on foggy days....so it seems some people only see icefishermen as doing stupid things.....one price for all or no price for anyone

thanks for suggesting for fees for icefishermen , I hope they charge access fees at your favorite lake and most of your examples people were breaking the law..the icefishermen did not...they were just stupid if you are stupid and drive in bad conditions do they charge for the rescue...no if you kid climbs up a tree and can't get down , do they charge or fine...no if you fall asleep with a smoke and burn your house down do they charge or fine ..no if every single person gets charge for any rescue anywhere, then fine otherwise, quit making fishermen a cashcow

how do they justify the firefighter wages for someone trapped in a car or a kid that climbs a tree and can't get down or te drunk that falls or the speeder that wipes out hell a false alarm at a school only costs one hundred bucks to the school....... even a fire how do they justify the firefighter wages? I see no difference.......

the casing has to be all metal to maintain the shielded wire on both the male and female ends I would not use the cheaper plastic case ones

you can use metal insulated rca plugs to shorten the wire

mine has internal antenna I found in navigation I can tell it to get gps info from different unit..but it doesn't say if that turns it off. I saw no change in voltage...will keep looking
