Sad news if this ban goes into effect...
Grenadier Pond was just one of the many places we fished as youngsters along with Frenchman's Bay, Rouge River, Highland Creek, Humber River, Mimico Creek, Etobicoke Creek, The Credit River and The Toronto Islands...
All were available by public transit...
Caught my first Calico Bass (Crappie) in Grenadier Pond
Spent a fair amount of time as a teenager in most of those spots, playing hooky and fishing.

Have organized a few winter camps for scouts. If you bank the snow against tent walls, make sure you line the outside of the tent by folding the gtoundsheet up the sides. We always used a bale of straw spread across the tent floor as an insulator.

If you go to a fishin camp with me, others will tell you, BEWARE the roadkill chili
. Tastes good, but.....
You don't want to sit inside the hut.

I like my dehydrator. Hoping to do some up soon, now that my family has a renewed hankering for the stuff.

I spent a long time in a house heated with wood and hydro backup. Never regretted it.
As for wells, check into details carefully. Many areas on Erie's north shore have non-potable water. The clay flats holding oil and gas are also famous for high sulphur levels in the soil and ground water. Becomes far cheaper to truck water in.

Use you ice hole, then relocate hut?

Nice looking fish

Typical Toronto nonsense.

Well Bruce,
Jordan was actually asking me about you and the smelt couple days ago. You probably have enough ice but wasn't sure if smelt are biting and when you are going. But yes if you are please PM me and we'll happily come to see you and refresh few memories ;-))
Cheers,
Ice Fisherman
Ice broke up with that warm spell. We are back to waiting for solid ice

AHHHHHHH CRAPPY!
That is going to taks some creativity
Nice little whitey. Sure better than I can manage for now.

Dimestore is a terrible show, and Canadian Sportfishing feels like its directed at 5 year olds.
No worse rhan most regular television programming. I could hurl every time my wife turns on shows like 2 1/2 Men, Friends, the 10 versions of CSI...., and watches 6 episodes in a row of the crap.
It would be as bad as watching re-runs of last season's Maple Laffs

No better report than hearing a good day of fun with your family.

Good ice has often been a problem with some of the farm ponds I fish. Underground springs and runoff make the ice thin and soft. Streams and rivers are always challenging because of the constant flow of water.

Long before all the construction, the old 69 had to be the most dangerous highway.
Stupidest thing I ever saw there was a truck with boat trailer trying to squeeze into the southbound 69. Traffic was stop and go and this fella tried to cross from Oaks into the plugged lane without enough room for truck and boat.. The rig coming northbound hit the boat and trailer and sent it airborne into the opposite ditch. A miracle no one got hurt.

Needed some uplift

NEWS FLASH!!!!
Team 4 gets a bouble barrelled start.

You fellas are too young to be thinkin about bucket lists.

Poor boat handling in a lively chop would be my bet. Stuff a big wave in reverse and down you go

Craziest thing I ever saw was on the Dominican bus ride to the resort....moped bike with a family of 5 on board cruised right past us and actually cut in front of the bus making us brake.
Dad was driving with the 3 kids behind him and Mom holding on the back.
Funniest thing I ever saw was in Canada 20 years ago......we were driving home from up north in pouring rain and a couple guys in full raingear pass us in a convertible, top down! I still remember those bright orange and yellow rain suit figures.
They wouldn't have been driving down the 69 by chance????

The politics of money is the only basis behind this decision.

20 years back, saw a 48' trailer flip and spill it's load of ball bearings all over the QEW in Stoney Creek. Sat for 3 hours while they cleaned up that mess.
How Do You Know Rogers and Bell Own The Leafs??

Get used to it. They just want to dig deeper into the pocket.
