  1. if you wanna catch something, Scugog is close enough and easy to access, go out to the middle, punch some holes and you're guaranteed Perch.
  2. ok cool. I'd like to get into some pike, but last year i only used those little pinheads or whatever, big scoop for $5. I'll have to go big or go home.
  3. Yea i think we have a couple. I'll have to check it out, do you know when the bite for whitefish and lakers usually starts? i have no idea, i havent even caught one during open water.
  4. thats what i am hoping for. Hopefully i can catch some lake trout and whitefish in Midland Bay aswell.
  5. oh, by no means am i wanting to get out this weekend or anything. I usually dont ride it till i see people going from the Jug City gas bar on Champlain Rd. into the bay or out to B Island. But a few people are already to go, they've got their huts by the water on Champlain. And yea, im 17, but my family has lived up there for about 80 years or more, and the knowledge has been passed down
  6. nice man, i cant wait to get out. My goal is to catch my first ice pike, what were you using? if you dont mind telling.
  7. LOL! i know better than that, SKI-DOO all the way!!! for those of you that fish there, im sure you'll see me pull up and drill a hole and drop my minnow down while sitting on my sled.
  8. well, its never all frozen, i know where the weak spots are, i've been up there my whole life, so i've gotten to know the lake pretty good. And i like to skip the open part by the park with my sled, lol.
  9. For you guys that ice fish Penetang Bay, im wondering what you guys usually hook into around first ice? last year i went, and i caught a 3 pound largie, and some nice sized perch, but this was January because i didnt get into it till then, but now i have everything and cant wait to wet my line. Oh, and the bays frozen all the way to Beauseleil Island for those that know the area and were wondering. I snowmobile there so i know the lake alright and im always looking for new places to fish. Good luck to everyone this season Thanks
  10. wow thats a beauty, at first i thought you ment 50" laker (lake trout)
  11. I know what you mean man, the muskie are always missing my little skitter pop.
  12. nah, i was just wondering like southern or northern georgian bay. If it was southern that is an awesome day.
  13. wow nice fish, which part of georgian bay is that?
  14. the stuff dreams are made of, awesome fish
  15. nice fish man! you got a guesstimate on the weight?
  16. Welcome, glad to see you didnt make the same mistake as i did.
  17. if 12 years of fishing is just learning the ropes, then sure. Whats wrong with using cottage? My great grand father and his brother built the hole thing, its small for that reason. The outside is all rocks that they found on the beach and in the water, if you could see it you would realize what great craftsmanship it took to build this place. Its right on Georgian Bay and when looking out the front window or on the beach you see Giants Tomb. Please tell me why it isn't ok to use the word "cottage".
  18. Nice thanks. What lakes do you like to fish? what kind of structure is it usually?
  19. Lol, another member here sent me a clip of that episode so i tryed it here. I NEED A FISHFINDEr!!!! need to find those bait fish.
  20. Too bad about that muskie man, would have been a great photo to add.

  22. this is a test. I'm not your guy, friend?
  23. Yea im in highschool, going into grade 12. I like to fish asmuch as possible while i still can. We stay out till about 11. Got out today with my dad for a hours fishing and we got about half a dozen 2 pound bass, with a couple smaller ones and some stinkin gobbies. (killed afterwards) Sorry no pictures guys, only like to take pics of the 3 pound plusers.
  24. lol,i could but i'll just report the good days.
  25. thats actually a pike, my biggest so far, 38". I do have a picture of a 47" muskie i caught in the river, but like i said its on the other computer. Yes that boathouse is still there, same with the muskie heads, but they seem to be rotting and falling off. Its a shame he kept all those, some look too small and some look like they were decent sized (for the river anyway) Well thanks for the welcome guys, i think i am going fishing today, if so, i'll let you know how i made out. Ryan.
