  3. me and a friend drove there the other day but couldnt find a way onto the ice. But there were plenty of huts around, im sure theres fish, the whole lake has good fighing i say.
  4. nice crappie. When you get small perch at your minnow, you are usually in a good spot, the walleye will be around for their supper. Try deeper water next time, you will get into more crappie.
  5. 20% off the subzero portable huts, 2&4 man. Also the Swede Bore manual augers on sale $54.99 each (5,6,8 inches) They also got a floater coat and plastic sled for your stuff. Gunna get myself $60 back tomorrow from my hut.
  6. foot and a half at the sandbar
  7. LOL! but i'd say it all comes down to the kind of fish. Scugog for Walleye, Crappie, and Perch. Or Simcoe for Whitefish, Lakers, and Perch. Im not sure if Scugog has rentals, but its a very easy lake to fish. just head for the middle. And Simcoe has a few, i know theres rentals in Beaverton, they might be able to put you on some fish.
  8. yea thanks man, we didnt get out to where you mentioned, stayed closer to home (Lindsay) but we're hoping to get out by Port for some crappie. dont think we'll be out Friday unless its a snowday. Get out while its hot. Funny thing is, we were out there lastnight and all we got was ONE tiny rockbass, bahahaha

  12. so me and a friend went to Scugog tonight, had some success tried out the new portable first fish Caught another smaller one, but got off at the lip of the hole and i let it swim down. Few Perch suckin on our minnows. Along with another walleye, never got the hook into it though. And then the beast comes out to play. I had this one on twice in the same minute, didnt get the hookset in cause my drag was to loose, but then it goes over to my friends minnow and he had it set just right I had to get a picture with this monster too Oh, it was 6 LBS. Couple guys around use getting some panfish, and a couple musky.

  19. So its looking like the buses may get cancelled for school tomorrow. Me and a friend are looking to get out to the lake tomorrow. With that said, where is a safe place to park and walk out and drill some holes? and what techniques work the best for crappie and walleye out there? we went a few times last year and nailed the perch, with juts a jig head and pinhead, this time we're looking at getting into some eyes and slabs. thanks.
