Good luck.....water is still 52,53F. Three days of northeast big winds is as tough as it gets.

Pike around Montreal are starting to bite,its a tough bite,but if you know what your doing and stick to it,you will be rewarded.

Montreal area crappies have been on fire,most of the fish have been 10 to 12 inches,sorry about the background,but crappie spots are like gold around here.

Went to the show today,and to tell the truth you guys have a much better show(Spring fishing show)The last 7 years I,ve travelled 12 hours there and back.Problem ours is hunting and camping too. We only had about 5 booths that actually sold fishing stuff.The others were the major manufactuer booths with their new products.I sure wasn't looking at some guys rods ,this is how I roll.......

Great Shot....All winter long I have been walking the dog in some woods near my house just a little north of Montreal,and the last 2 days I,ve seen 4 big flocks(60 to 80 birds) of these waxwings, you think it means open water fishing is close by.....

What I find funny is all the exercise commercials on a fishing network. Izumi,James ,Mercer,Cronzy.etc........

Try and find an older Ranger fisherman model...its what the pros use where you fish....

So after day one at Lake Okeechobee,Pro-angler Bob Izumi is in 141 place with 11lbs 2oz. In the Co-angler ,Montrealer Richard McCrory sits in 4th place with 19lbs. 11Oz,while Josyln Leung(Angling Outfitters)is in 112 with 8lbs 6 oz. First place has 35lbs 3 oz, and 52 teams had over 20 lbs.Lets go guys
