Late spring and all summer long are the best times to catch gars. I use the rope lure.

We had some good chances at a couple of really big girls, but only got one to stay pinned.My 50 for the year,hope to get the 55 I saw today........

Don,t feel bad ,I was just down river from you and the pike fishin was tough,they wanted nothin to do with twitchin or spinnerbaits(sorry Paul) spoons were all they wanted.I snagged(by accident)and landed a 30lb. sturgeon.

Thanks alot guys, this fish was 48in. and right now they don,t fight that good a few good runs and thats it. I think they are the best looking fish out there.

First gar this year......Takin pics and catching big gars all by yourself don,t mix.

Last weekened was pike opener here and it was very good. We fished the St. Larry and put over 50 fish in the boat with the biggest around 6 lbs. Water temps were cold but the pike were on.I also went for crappies again and was not disapointed.

I heard from a friend of a friend,that "THOSE PEOPLE" have their own fishing forums. They rant and laugh about middle class white folk,that spend hundreds of thousands of $$$ on all the fancy crap,to keep up with the jones.They laugh,when they think about all the money and time the whities spend and then take a pic then release the fish,just to have a pic to put on facebook or a forum to be a wanna be star.They laugh cause they have white buckets,and we have white coolers,we have a top on our white bucket........ . PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE CHILL OUT>>>>>>>>>

Headed out yesterday, with 2 buddies to see if we could find the crappies again. Real tough bite,but we plugged along all day and slowly picked up a crappie here , a crappie there.(no big cocentration) By the end of the day,we had boated over 60,with a few SLABS.

Boston Bruin fan since 1967......... I never understand the reasoning of having to like a team because you live there. To me its like religon,just because your parents are of a faith ,doesn,t mean you have to be the same,use your own brain and choose because YOUR experiences and ideas(free thinking). I saw Bobbby Orr play in the Jrs.and decided at 10years old ,that would be my team......You have choices in life.

Did you ever think to cast out a spinnerbait,look at your reel while reeling in,I,m sure you will see the problem,cause this sure is strange.You should also switch to braid,I hate mono on spinning.

Something is not right here, birdsnest on spinning..............only thing I can think of is you use really cheap mono
