LOL...thanks guys....ya it was just a little bigger than the one in Joshua's boat. I took a guess that it was 10 pounds but my other buddy says its over, cause i am 5'7" and nearly 200 pounds and I am not holding it was out like alot of fisherman do to make the fish look bigger...LOL. Pigeontroller....LOL....musky fisherman, thats actually only the 3rd musky I have ever hooked and second ever landed.....the only oe I missed was when I was actually fishing for them...the other 2 were when bass fishing ans salmon fishing...go figure. Fish was kinda like bringing a log in....not much fight to it, it kinda just tried to hold its ground. Is this normal? Thanks again guys for saying nice catch.....means alot. See ya!!

I have been working in a tool and die shop for a week now as a labourer, what they do here in the Niagara area is try and hire as many temp labourers from temp agency's at a very low cost to do alot of the work. Niagara region is going down hill for good paying jobs....don't look here. More and more temp agencies taking away decent paying jobs and turning them into $8-10 an hour jobs...really sad to see. Thats a hard income to live on. Might be alot different in the bigger cities thou so keep chugging away at it.

yep you found the right trail and the best spot for carp...congrats on the Carp. Pretty soon I will be making my daily trek down for the salmon run. I have also gone carping in the Niagara and in some spots they get twice that size....wait till you hook into a 30 pounder. Congrats again and nice pics....you take it for granted when you live close to the whirlpool but when you see pics of it its a like a whole new world.

just don't put a full tank of deisel in.....I did once not paying attention to the pumps....well I was in Ohio and usually here in Canada the nozzle sizes are different so a deisel nozzle wouldn't fit in the hole in your gas tank.....well at this pump it did and I filled her up....I got about a block away and the car stopped dead. Smelt the tank and said crap and went back to the gas station and the deisel sticker I swear was only about 1 inch by 4 inches. Thank god it was a rental car....LOL and it only cost me a $100 to drain the tank...filled her up with unleaded and she started and ran fine. Most expensive tank of gas I ever had....$200. So the lesson is look carefully for the deisel sign cause the nozzle size is not always bigger like it is supposed to be..

well a month ago they were getting them 2 miles out of point abino...last I heard they were 5 miles out from port colbourne, you can never go wrong with fishing near the gas wells...which I think are about 5 miles out also. I don't fish in a boat so this is second hand info and not sure if its true or not, hope it helps!

didn't think Bowen was on this board...sorry Bowen, I thanks him on NFN. Can't upload the video cause I don't have a dvd player in my computer, not a long video...just enough time to see the size of the fish and thats it. Bowen is really good out on the lake, even at 16 years old.....can't imagine how he will be in the future...gonna win alot of tournaments.

Managed to find someone to take me out salmon hunting today. Got 10 shakers and one big 27 pounder, my camera died but I have a video of the fish but have no dvd player on my comp.....had to do the video fast as it took forever to bring in the fish as it peeled out 400 feet of line on me so I can't enter it in the derby.....oh well, next time. Sorry team one! Fish were hitting and then taking off...missed a ton of fish today. Fished out of Port Weller for those that wanna know!

I have most of my success on smoke(grey) and pumpkin seed colour on the Niagara river. I have no specific rig for them just a jig inside a 4" tube and bounce off bottom.
