  1. Take it Back!!! You have a one year warrenty. I would not worry too much about the bill. cheers Rustic-Fisher, And I work at BPS in the fishing.
  2. I owned the icemachine when it first came out and was not that impressed. The unit was prone to tons of interferance from other machines. And 800watts is a little under powered. I also found the flasher a little trickey in water over 50'. Pros were the battery life and the color screen. Its just an opinion. But if ya do decide on the icemachine I just saw them at www.radioworld.ca for 299.99. later
  3. Nice reply HOMETOWNHANDYMAN!!! and your 45 years old????? Grow up!! so much for trying to help!!! always one goof in the crowd i guess.
  4. Fire away with any question and I will see if I can help ya!!!! RY
  5. Just stopped in at the local outdoors store and every topo for the simcoe area sold out in the past 3 days..LOL Every creek bridge and culvert with a creek flowing through or under it should be jammed with guys for at least a few weeks! you ll be surprised!!! Did Tony point you in the right direction? and ya must have really been able to bug Rossi with your pics. Keep the areas on the down low, nice fish though. Ryan
  6. Hey, I have been a firefighter in Toronto for 6yrs, Applied to many different departments and was lucky enough to be hired by Toronto. BEST JOB IN THE WORLD!!!(for me anyways). The biggest piece of advice I can give ya is DON'T GIVE UP!!! The application process is extremely competitive but if you keep at it you will persevere. Take as many college programs, weekend courses, or any other courses you think will make you stand out from the other applicants. Trade licences are also great. Also start some volunteer work in your community ie big brothers, Red cross and so on......this is extremely important. As stated earlier in the thread, head to your local fire station grab a person that was hired recently and ask a million questions. Good luck, Ryan
  7. What do you know???!!!!!! LOL. Rustic-Fisher a.k.a Ryan (BPS GUY ALSO)
  8. Sweat reel.... Magnetic bail instead of springs. Bail is made of Titanium making it industructable. Finish wont scratch. Most important is the ceramic drag system that is incorperated into the reel(less heat produced on the reel when a fish pulls drag), great for fighting big fish such as steelhead. Ya got a sweet reel.... Rustic
  9. Decent unit, I had one for awhile and ended up selling it. Its seems to be a little tempermental with interference from other units so keep that in mind when you fish with buddies that use graphs. I liked the color screen though. Rustic
  10. Went out at Innisfil park and was able to fish 60-70 FOW for the whities and lakers. Went 1 for 4 on whities using a small williams. ICE THICKNESS WAS FROM 4"-6" of hard black ice. Marked a ton but not many takers today. Sorry no pics this time. Play safe out there this weekend. Rustic
  11. Thanks for all the great info.... Rustic
  12. Hey guys, Is it possible to hook a rechargeable battery up to this unit. The portable unit runs off two 6v batteries and that could get expensive draining those 2-3times a week while on the ice. If not I am thinking of just buying the portable eagle 320. Thanks, Rustic
  13. Nice lookin pup. By chance were you fishing the Notty yesterday? Later, RF
