  1. I like the closed loop way better than the R bend just for the reason you mentioned. I actually sold all my R bend spinnerbaits because of this. Jacques, I still have your original big O replica and I did use it this year but still no luck with it. I will send it back to you so you can have it for your museum but I will do so at the end of spring. I want one more shot at catching a fish with your original. I have not forgotten and it is still in good condition. Congrats on the spinnerbaits, I love them
  2. you are lovin it out there. And so you should be. Nice fish!
  3. Slammers do rule. I have caught probably 90% of my fall bass on them the baitthat Mark threw zdan was his new swimbait. Mark is making these good looking swimbaits now too and he did pretty well on them a week ago Monday rigging them carolina style. I have a couple and am going to try them out this week (when I am not using slammers).

  9. The auger for 289 is a 8" The ice shelter was $164. I bought it. Not sure whether or not I will keep it or take it back. We'll see. Click here to see the ice shelter. http://www.geteskimo.com/foundations/store_getEskimo/shopdetail.asp?params=69143*79
  10. Welcome! I love fishing simcoe in the fall for smallies as well.Sounds like you are crushing them. 7-10 is massive congrats. Well done. I can't seem to see the pics though. Only red xs showing.
  11. Not sure of the brand. It looks like the one at costco.ca but is blue, not orange. Seems decent for the price.
  12. at costco in barrie. The gas auger is $289 and the hut is $169
  13. I am not sure if a question like this has been posted already but I want to know if these are any good and if anyone has one? They don't come with a sled but are a fairly small bundle to carry. $164 seems pretty reasonable. Any input would be appreciated. It is called an Eskimo quickfish 3
  14. nice!
  15. the one largie is a football! i love it
  16. There are smallies in the bay for sure. There is neither the numbers or the size as there is in the fall. I fish the bay in the summer and I do catch smallies but they are not the same.
  17. By the way, it weighed 5.75 pounds. I thought it was going to be 6 for sure but it came up short. Still a good fish just not long enough I guess. The one in my avatar is much longer.
  18. No way. These fish have always come in here ( i think). They follow the shiners in. Lots of other fish too. These fish are not here in the summer. Only the fall.
  19. portable fish hut fishfinder with gps (downimaging or side would be sweet but too much$$) maybe a new auger.
  20. I wish. Let me put it this way. I have caught bigger.
