  1. 5 years and going strong.
  2. Bring it to Barrie,I,ll give it whirl. Might need new rubber by the time I am done. I have watched Tokyo drift many times. Amazing what you can learn. LMAO Enjoy the ride bud. Just be safe.
  3. In the 80,s, I was doing it almost every weekend when they were in thick. Loved it when the lakers came in. Was a blast to fish there . Never did I even think of bring up a fish.
  4. So if they are charging, are they putting money towards an escalator ? LOL
  5. One thing I noticed was the amount of lampreys stuck on fish. Crazy numbers. First fish of the morning had a huge mark on it.
  6. All the fish but that small one are all huge. Big fish this run. 2-4 this morning. Both released. Largest was close to 25lb. Took me nearly 20min to get her in . Time to get ready for a perch fish maybe next weekend, then it,s steel time. Now I need to go and take the pin apart. It,s got so much sand in it. DOH.
  7. With my son heading to the west shores,I decided I would fish with a couple of close buddy's. We met on the river bank at the same time. Had some good conversations . Amazing what we have in common, and somethings we debate. Myself,is just a sitter and listens mostly. Gets real excited when he hears the fish jumping. On the other hand, I, is one that likes to debate everything. Like ,should we have walked all this way when there are other spots that we can park at and a very short walk ? Myself pipes up and says, what are you talking about ? Listen to all the fish jumping around. Of course, me, being the just fish and shut up and enjoy the things nature had given us guy says , were here now and we are not climbing back up that hill. Both myself and I ,were very thankful me brought the rope. All three of us have bad knees and the rope will sure makes things easy getting back up that 40ft hill . Me,myself and I, got our gear ready. Still using that mojo rod from John Francis .Coffee and eggs for the morning breakfast on the ready. Once we could see our float, ( seems we all have bad eyes ) we began fishing. Didn't take long before our float went down, set the hook and we are all excited. Fish was landed. Great net job by myself, and of course,I, tried to take all the credit. We ended up going 1-6 in the few hours we were there. Fun time with a couple of close buddy's.
  8. I price to sell. I want things gone and well,I look for deals too. 👍
  9. Lets see,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Sold 2 newer electric trolling motors for half their price the past month. Even THOUGH, there was no stock to be had anywhere . Maybe I should of stuck to high ? LOL So ya, I sold for less and got a 30lb for well 1/3 the price of new on a trade. I am good with myself ,with these transactions. 👍 Big believer in KARMA
  10. FAWKKKKKKKKK LOL
  11. Like I said, there was no disrespect, but was curious . I get what you did, but really, you should of replied personally. I am sure you do not need a body guard Dutch01. LMAO . Here is one that really caught my attention today, and wish I could of ran up on the car and stopped them. Filled up at Costco and there it was, a car pulling away with South Carolina plates. How the hell did they get through ?
  12. I am assuming he can remove it from top to bottom and rework like I mentioned. A solid piece of stock would be a great option.
  13. Not my problem. LMAO
  14. When I seen this I was like WOW. https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/weather/ontario/barrie/l4n4w8/E1365470?wx_auto_reload=
  15. Morning Rog If you are on fish, you are going to regret the manual. The Mag Scotty electric,s are sweet. Terry has them and they make the day much more enjoyable. I would stay away from clamp on riggers .
  16. Yup. If you can remove it, that would work. Heat it up slowly, use a larger dia pipe to slide over it to straighten it bit by bit and slide a piece of conduit in it. Or just replace it with a piece of galvanized thick wall conduit.
  17. Well I got to use the scale today. 2" piece of lead was 8 grams. So now I can do the math easy, to accommodate my float and bait. Funny how fast that roll got cut up. Need more, as I gave my son more then half it seems. 😁
  18. I want to see drifting video. Safely of course. LOL
  19. Maybe they were to big ? File size ?
  20. Drag files here to attach, or choose files...😁
  21. Dang. I did that on Erie fishing at the back of Chongers boat. Rod went over and well, it was too wavy to even try to get it back. Nice catch and revive. LOL
  22. The 55lb would last from 1st morning ( 5 am ) til noon . That how long I would usually fish for. I would move a lot. I always used 50% throttle . I even towed my anchor when moving. That is about 8 lbs. From spot to spot. When I would come off, there was always 3 and even 4 lights still on the motor which was to tell you how much battery power was left. My battery is a sealed Optima marine battery. It is always kept on a 1.5 amp trickle charger from May til I will not use it anymore.
  23. If I had to make a choice, I would look into a 40lb for that toon. Scott, these things push a lot different then a tin or a yak. Your pushing 2 bladders with weight in the middle. I used a 30lb way back on a smaller one. It was ok, but on the larger toon, it was not that friendly. Why I went to a 55lb. When you want to get off quick, the 55 lb was nice.
  24. I found no difference as far as balance goes. I can even stand and still feel safe . I have had it out in 2 ft waves and it just rides the waves. No fear of tipping of flipping over. I think it is about a 6" dif in width. I ran a 55lb on my pontoon. 3.5 mph 100%. Balance between you and the motor and battery is a must. I had the seat fully forward. Battery behind the seat and motor after that. A 30lb will be ok, but slower. The older 30 lb motor are not as good as the new. The older ones use 100% no matter the speed, as the newer ones only use what you demand from it. I am hoping to get out this Saturday to give the 30lb I got a go with the battery. I want to see how the rig handles the battery weight and motor. I am lucky that I can keep the battery at the bow. I see no reason I should have any problems. This thing drifted through 3" of water with out touching the bottom with all my gear and me so far. Happy with my new ride.
  25. Well I found some on line local , also found a spool of it at Cabelas on Saturday. They had 1 spool of small. I used my old wire stripper ( largest hole ) to score the lead . Works perfect. Read how guys use dog nail clippers. Split the roll with my son . I want to try this as well. I think it,s going to much easier then putting on split shot. I also have access to a small scale to cut them in different gram sizes.
