Nothing wrong with house league Bill. My both my boys started there. The oldest got to the point where he wanted more.. So we let him try out for rep. Atom minor.Made his first team,and never looked back. It wasnt that I thought he was going to be a NHL star,just wanted him to be able to compete at his level. Im not whinning about the money I spent. It was tough,but he was happy. Looking back,ya,it was worth it. But now,I all that money to buy new fishing an hunting gear,,for me.LOL

All I can ad to that is,, Not all great hockey players play rep hockey. There are some real good players in the house league level. It,s due to like you said. COST to the parents.. Im glad my paying days are behind me. Two was hard. When the youngest dropped out,the oldest one went on to play double /triple A. til midget. Ya,a goalie of all things.

Yup We played like............................ Looks like a full day of ice fishing Sunday. Bronze?????????? I dont see it. Russia plays like they did today,back to the drawing board.

I dont mean to stir the pot/or blow horns here but,it was Spiel that started this whole G2G thing. Years before. Then passed it on to myself,as he couldnt always make it. Asked if there would be any objection to making it a fund raiser,we past it off gladly to Mo, for a great cause. From back when to now,it,s grown huge,and those that attend and donate is awesome. Guess I better get busy making my normal donation of spud bars. Time will fly Im sure. Dont forget yer helmet,and try to get that udder fella Beans to come with ya.

So what you are saying is, the stars shouldnt be touched,,and if they are,,scorn the one that did? The star player,is no different then the 2nd 3rd 4th line guy playing the game. It,s a game. All are equal IMO. If the leafs lost Orr,Leaf fans would think it was a great lost to their tough guy line. Would other think this? No. Would who ever took him out think the same as if it were Sid? Ya,those that praise the star players would. Star players are limited. They are surrounded by other great players. Many un noticed. Thats the sad part. They make them stars. Just yakking here.

My point is this Game is played,penalty is called,but yet big brother/nanny, seem to add,AFTER the game. LET THEM PLAY,LET CALLED STAND. Why have refs? Let them play pond hockey style and then tell them they did wrong. Waste of money having 4 extra guys on the ice,if they are going to be over ruled.
