Man what a tough couple of weeks hooking up and landing. 3 hours of drifting and casting this morning when finally, a fish to play with. The water is so cold, they do not fight like they do in October. Screaming and jumping all about. This one hit like I was caught on bottom. The yellow tip of the float slowllllyyyy went under. A lift of the rod and there was weight on the end. Was a quick sluggish battle. A fish is a fish,no matter.

I really hate this pass port thing between the two neighboring counties. I think Trump should do one good thing. White wash that rule out. Ya I understand why it,s there. Seems the water was fishable after all. Son caught some fish this morning. I did warn him about the water rising fast. That was his first comment before he said, I caught fish. Man that water rises fast and the walk back up is killer..LOL

I heard ( I hope they are right ) That no need for a pass port now to cross. Valid drivers lic is required and another piece of ID. Is this true?

I found out there is a tourny going on there, and my son is in it. Im going to pass as I am not part of it and sounds like alot of guys are going. That means crowded and shoulder fishing. Myself Im not a whole meat eater of venison. I mean, I would sooner make sausages, pepperettes and ground. The back strap gets cooked the night of the harvest. Marinade in italian dressing, slow cooked, sliced in 1/2 peices and put on crackers. Now if you give me a moose steak or roast, were talking good eats.

Hows the fishing and is the norm of bottom bouncing still the go to, or do they allow drifters? LOL Maybe be hooking up with my son this weekend and would like to be prepared. If I remember correctly, the walk down IS 15 minutes, or if one cares to slide down, ( which I did a time or 2 in the 80,s ) is 5 minutes. HA HA The walk back up is 1 hour. LMAO Thanks

Im a loner as well and do like a week of fresh snow on the ground to figure out their movements. I like to sit just in the thick stuff with openings/ shooting lanes. Open fields, I sit 5ft or so inside. Love those corner entrances.

As a long time member Art, I was always on the side of leave it the way it is. We are a family. It has become, not a family site. Yes I post NF as well as others, but I do think a NF section is warranted these days. I have seen many regulars leave. New faces show up, and like said, they are gone pretty quick. Do we want lurkers, or do we want members ? I would like to see a fishing related section. I have been seeing a lot of others sites that are doing their best to go this route. They have Fishing reports Fishing tactics Fishing tackle and reviews No where is there, where are you fishing. No GPS or exact locations allowed. There is also a seperate place to talk as you wish, but keep it clean and respectful. From what I gather, Face Book is killing these types of forums. I am not a fan of FB and nor am I going to become a fan or member of FB. I get my fill through fishing and hunting boards. And as I click, post, I see there is no changing. Go with the flow. The river flows fast and slow. I really do believe, a strong fishing section, would be best. JMO. Everyone has NF reports, just nice to have a separate section. JMO
