  2. Did another quick tour this morning. Not as busy as yesterday. Managed to run into some old friends. Leon. The creator of the Simcoe bug . Still laughing about the day he helped get my truck unstuck 20 years ago. Then this santa looking guy pops up. MR.B, Rattletrap. Have not seen each other in many years. Met his daughter from the board here,al87_outdoors . Wonder gal. Now to start looking for some ice to fish on. The bug has gotten a hold of me.

  4. I can see it know. 3 Grown men enjoying a few pints in Angus. Then they get loud and someone calls the fuzz. Fuzz show up and asks whats the problem here gents? One says frigg off,one says, he frys his back straps in margin, the other says, frig that,bacon or fat back. Then we all 3 ask, care to join in this discussion?

  6. Ok, so from my last experience, the jaw jacker was legal. NOW Thy have a new addition to it. Seen at Cabelas. It has a battery operated jigging set up. So ,unmanned rod,jigging. Legal ???????????? Seems to take all the fun out of the sport if you as me. I can except the jaw breaker as a set the hook I am to lazy too, but this new jigging set up is too much.
  7. Thanks David ,made her day. All she could talk about. Look what David gave me. LOL The show was well, ok. I was hoping it was going to be better then last, but seemed to be the same. There were a few retailers there and yes,they were blowing stuff out the door price wise. Not sure I want to see a meat stand when I first walk in to an ice fishing expo, but there it was. For me,the show is about seeing the new and meeting up with buddies and shooting the breeze. I met up with Chad ( Chuck Enwinde ) this morning. We made a sweet trade off. Finally. LOL Met a a couple of guys I never met. They just asked if I was the loony tooner. I said ya,but I don't have a pen to sign my autograph guys. LOL Had a good chat with guys that appreciated my videos. The granddaughter and I enjoyed our time and we were off across the street to see the jolly ole fella. Not before I picked up my 12 tarts. My gawd they are so good. Ole Santa made my day by saying, smile, your DAD , is going to take our picture. LOL Time well spent with my granddaughter.

  18. Lew, I have I given up on getting you out again. Just so you know, I have coffee,and huge toasted ,bacon,egg,tomato sandwiches in a heated hut,if you do decide to ever join. I was only joking about the hard labor of dragging.
  19. No offense taken at all. I am a ,to each their own. We would take the loins of each fresh kill, and do as I said. Slice thin and have on crackers with cheese and drink joyously.

  21. I have tried the fish crisp as a coating. Helps with the non sticking to the pan.LOL Nice healthy side dishes.
  22. I was a 24 hour guy, but the salt intake has got me going 48. I still need that home taste like nan made. If It is just fish in tater,might as well use Tilapia. LOL Atleast frying in bacon fat, adds a bit of more flavor. Bad habits never die.LOL Edit to add Add the chopped onion and fish, in the mashed taters while they are still steaming. The taters will absorb the onion juices. Makes a world of difference. Let it all cool off before making your paddy's. Just how I do it. Enjoy. Look forward to your finish. I see a dinner of my own maybe this Sunday.

  24. My god, do you remind me of my pop. He always has a full jar of bacon dripping for frying. Some old good tasting bad habits never die. LOL As for the deer, I would put the straps in a zip lock bag, pour in a bottle of Italian zesty dressing, Let marinade 24 hours, put in roaster, add onions and cook for 4 hours on low. 250. Make some home made fettuccine. A can of spicy tomatoes in a pot,crushed garlic, some generous amount of fresh ground parm. Mix the noodles in the sauce. Place noodles on a plate, add thin sliced venison on top. Ya I am a newf, but can make Italian. LOL
