I soak my chips over night (1/2 the time the fish is in the brine) and yes I put them in damp.

i put it in the fish's yap pre-light so there is not reason it can't get it going... ohhh wait... are you soaking your wood chips at all? If not, you need to...

Thanks and yeah I do know how bad it can be. I would rather use a hotplate then the microwave and do it all in the garage. I do have a TV and radio in there too so it's not that bad out there...

Miracon, don't worry about the comments as nothing will ever be perfect. Dave (the guy in the pic) has a show and is an emcee for a major bass tour so some times people take shots when they can. Ryan (theurbanfisher) works for Dave and took the pic hence his reply. I found the pic via twitter or facebook and posted it cause it is a very nice fish and a cool pic, so why not share... Post your progress and pic's and you will have the full support of everyone here (just look at Dana! ). the odd time someone will poke fun at you (I get it all the time! so does CCMT, HAHAHA) or tell you that you held the fish wrong but don't worry about it. poke fun back and learn from the past to do it right the next time. Roy got me thinking and I did ask in his post bout I would rather not derail his. So, does anyone here make soft plastic baits? I would like to clone the 5" grub I buy now and make my own but be able to tweak the colours and so forth a bit from here and there. So, I'm asking if anyone can show us all some tricks, tips and products? I would like to even figure out a good and easy to use low $$ mold to make/use that is easy and WORKS. No, I don't want to mess around with plaster but if it's the last resort I guess I will have to (buy more baits then)
