then get ready to spend!!!! and I'm not just talking $ this time. they are the fish of 10,000 casts for some people (me being one of them). you will cast and cast and cast all day long with big heavy gear so why not start with bass and walleye?

my thoughts are that the metal one will get more use and the other spool will be in the tackle bag/box more often than in use.

if you got it at CTC then that one comes with a spare graphite spool and it's to reduce weight and it costs a bit less (maybe). I would rather have the heavy line on the metal spool and lighter line of the graphine one because it's about the weight and balance of the combo. if it was me, I would rather fight a 'bigger' fish with the metal spool and heavy line then the light stuff.

Come on Paul. take 2x of wood, drill a few holes in them and mount them to the ceiling in the basement and hang the rods there and the reels on a bench if not still on the rod. you will end up restringing most reels next year anyway as you will want to try something new I bet...

who ever you send out to get it for you, have them tell the sales person you are new to bass fishing so they set them/you up with the top sellers/producing baits. that's not the "worm" they are talking about Adam!
