  1. A straight line doesn't constitute a CAD drawing Dan. I have had an iPhone and now have a BB. I am going to switch over to Andriod if Rogers ever brings the Captivate SII on board, if not, I am going to plug away with my 9780. I love BBM but thats about it. I do find email on the BB faster and smoother then the iPhone but for the small differences I do miss my iPhone. My wife just got her iPhone 4 in the mail today, I will play around with it to see if its any better then my old 3G. Andriod is the way to go though, evolution!!!!!
  2. K my guy is a no go. Sorry, send Stoty an email, I think he used to do programming and web design, hes quiet on here lately though.
  3. Okay let me ask him before I flip you his email. I remember talking about possibly getting you guys in with us at work, but we stopped customs like that. I'll let you know shortly.
  4. Whats the content going to be on the site Dan? On of my buddies does it on the side.
  5. I have a Mg on one of my Avids and would only say good things. The reel was worth EVERY dollar.
  6. Ah Wayne, she must have had a lemon. I know at least 30 people including myself that have Macbook Pros and no one has had an issue with any. Thats too bad. PC's are much worse. I have one too.
  7. Well done sir!!! You can not complain at all about that trip. You will ALWAYS remember your first Musky as well. And everyone else is right, you will end up spending all your disposable income on gear. But its all worth it.
  8. Thanks to all, I will let him know.
  9. Yes, that IMPOSTER signed up not too long ago hahahahah Kidding. MUSKY MIKE with a space has been a regular contributor since he joined which is great. There could be 36 of us, but know I will always be the original. hahahah Kidding (kinda)
  10. MARSHMALLOWS!!!!!!! K seriously, I don't know, I don't fish for Carp, but looks like corn is the winner so far, so I also vote corn.
  11. If thats a Extang you are going to be a very happy camper. They are AMAZING! I dont think I would buy any other brand now.
  12. I'll let him know. Thanks a lot for this info. Anyone else that has had any good experiences?
  13. I think he is looking for a lake in the middle of no where type of camp. Or lodge. He tends to fish this area a lot and wants to experience somewhere different. There must be some camps people have been to that they enjoyed...hopefully.
  14. Hey guys, Here is the situation, I have a buddy that wants to go for a weekend or week trip to catch as many walleye and pike as he can in the period he spends on the lake. He asked me to throw something out on here to see what all of you recommend. This is what he is looking for: 1) Walleye and Pike 2) within 10 driving hours of Ottawa 3) no fly-ins 4) price is not an object 5) food plans are not important (only a bonus) 6) as secluded as possible 7) he is American If anyone can help out and recommend something for him or multiples, it would be very appreciated. I told him to go to Kesagami but he doesnt want the fly-in nor the distance. (I found it too expensive). Anyways, any help would be awesome. Thanks
  15. This is exactly what these threads are for. Here is a perfect example of some good some bad. Like I said, the line does bleed the first few times but after that its perfectly fine. I am willing to try other lines, I have just had no reason to. Every year I reverse my line on my reels and take off the first 20 feet or so. As for the leaders, I make my own, I have yet to have a problem with them (knock on wood) even with nicks and such. But like I said, its good to have opinions from both sides. It should help (or confuse) anyone that is looking for information.
  16. Just drove thru it on Friday. I live just down the road. Nice park. Lake looks very promising. Not sure where to go or what to fish for but I have heard good things. Hopefully someone else from the area can help you out. PS. It wont take you 4 1/2 hours from Woodbridge. As long as you can get through the Yorkdale-115 stretch with decent traffic, it shouldnt take you more then 3 to a max 3.5 hours. I drive to Stoney Creek/Hamilton all the time and its only 3.5 hours.
  17. Definitely try Beau's. Just east of Ottawa. Remarkably good for a local beer.
  18. Looks a lot like the river water I fish in
  19. I have to disagree with a few points here, but its just my opinion. I strictly use PP. I it lasts forever first of all, it bleeds the first 1/4 of the season then thats it, and i don tfind it retains much water at all. I have 80# on my spring and summer and 100# on my fall rods. The 150# flouro also lasts forever. I have had some leaders last more then 4 years on regular use. even with a small nick they are fantastic. If you are feeling uneasy about it, take it off and put one end on a nail that is nailed into something solid, thread another nail thru your hoop on the other end and pull. I have yet to be able to snap one. I have tried the titanium leaders and although they claim they dont kink, they do. VERY easily. And they are very expensive. I like the titanium for pike but not for musky. I will stick to floro all day long. Again, try them all out, I have heard good things about the Courtland line as well, see what you like, if you are just starting out, the start up costs seem overwhelming, but as soon as you put your first 50" in the boat, everything goes away.
  20. Agreed. I use 150# seaguar to make my leaders with stay locks #4 or #5. I would much rather lose a fish then lose a lure...but then again I am cheap. I wouldn't go under 80# on line either, but thats just me.
  21. Okay, how do I say this in the nicest way possible... Your safety is of our concern, but the fishes safety, longevity and well being is of a much greater concern. You catching the fish will not kill you, but can very well be fatal to a musky. Please handle them with care is all we are saying. Have the right net. Good luck out there.
