  1. we'v been dating for about 2 years now .. and well when ever we used to go camping, she would be all hesitant about fishing. but now shes like hey you can bring the boat, and we can have all day fishin trips on different lakes.... haha Sounds good to me !
  2. haha i was the only 1 with a cell phone.. and i was in a car accident 2 weeks ago.. totaled the car.. and now my cell phone only works for calls.. but i will defenetly post pictures next time we go out ! i made sure the camera is in my takle bag. and i cant wait for musky and bass to open so she can start hooking into them ! shes already got her own tackle box and lures now.. every time we go to bass pro she finds lures that she likes .. or i'll suggest types of lures and shel pick colors and brands. etc !
  3. 4 in total, all from shore , around 9-9:30 pm
  4. haha yes sir haha caught 2 more walleye tonight.. and she says she might want to try them aka for me to cook them up . normaly I dont keep my catches.. but maybe !
  5. its where i launch most of the time as i find ceserea to be hectic with the nice weather
  6. was wondering the same thing .. I know for a fact theres a launch in View lake.. tho you basically have to beach your boat. but look on the plus side.. its free..
  7. yes sir, and cant wait ! though if you do run into them before open season, say fishing for walleye you should release them immediately, or cut your line ! if you can make it out to Kawartha lakes, such as Scugog, or Rice, you can normally find them all over..
  8. yes Sir, just aiming for walleye .. but through out the summer and fall they can sure be a blast to fish for! ps. where are you looking to fish for them ?
  9. Good luck ! caught one last night on an X-rap fishing for walleye.. beauty fish ! though defenetly look into bucktails.. and a good rod and reel, i preffer more of a low profile baitcast reel, such as the curado 200-300s, or the revo's. but the other guys defenetly said it, check out musky canada, go to the meetings etc, you can learn so much !
  10. So last night convinced my girlfriend into coming fishing with me down at one of the lake accesses near her house..(by Ceserea/Scugog point) the walk to the lake is literally a 2 minute walk (so there is NO excuses! of why we cant go ).. we have fished this sandy/gravel area many times the past year and a half and noticed plenty of bait fish, and pan fish which we actually spent a majority of the afternoon fishing for, where we would wade out into the water up to our waists pulling in dozens of big rock bass and sunfish. her favorite part of this was the fact that there were any where from two -to- a dozen decent sized sunfish chasing her lure almost everytime ! haha she was loving it ! So after feeling like a little kid for the past 3 or so hours I figured I'd be generous and call it a day, as when ever we go fishing she normaly gets bored after about 2 hours or so.. and we had been fishing for almost 3 or 4.. so i thought id be the nice guy and that maybe we should head in and grab some dinner and maybe come back when the sun starts to go down.. That was not the case.. lol she apperently was not to happy about that idea as she was having to much fun! that right there was my sign.! i have finaly got her "hooked on fishing" haha about 45 minutes go by.. its now 5 o'clock .. and shes hungry..and after catching a dozen Lunker Sunfish and rock bass and the odd Perch .. on basically anything, I was not complaining ! so we head in for dinner and a movie and then we were right back out there for about 8:30-9 o'clock .. and I had one thing on my mind.. WALLEYE (as haven't caught one yet this year :| ) so i whip out the D-Zillion and the crank bait rod, with every xrap and walleye diver iv got. mean while the GF is looking for the fun'est lure she can find.. which for her happend to be just about and one of the Gulp Alive plastics i had.. after a few casts, with the X-rap caught a jumbo blue gill.. and she had a nice rock bass. all in all good start to the night .. two more casts. and i feel a tap. i think to my self.. COULD this be the first "W" of the season for moi :-O and sure enough it was .. just over 1lb..released it.. take another cast, and the same thing. and about the same size! hmm feels like we are on to somthing so I take 1 more cast.. OBVIOUSLY.. splash.... twitch twitch twitch....... WHAMMM'Oh...! haha this thing was BIG and defenetly a musky.. so me tryin to be the nice guy.. warned my GF that its probably a nice sized musky, and the first thing that she says is.. "um arnt they the ones with big teeth ?!" before i could answer she was outa the water standing on shore.. lol so while she was on shore i asked her to grab the camera.. i figgured if i was able to land this thing she could atleast take a quick pic. but of course SOME ONE had taken the camera out of the side pocket so after fighting it on a 10lb fluro leader and it jumping twice.. i thought it was for sure getting off.. but that was not the case.. we ended up catching it, and messured it to be just over 44''. my Personal best, though it was out of season , so we quickly released it to fight another day. after that, we called it a night, and headed back up to the house. All in all, we both had an awesome time ! and yes, we are going back out again tonight PS I do apologize for the boring read Thanks again - a fellow angler
  11. good stuff guys , maybe next time it'l be a better day , and i'll find some spots for us to go

  13. thats a good call kickingfrog.. i agree .. i personally think some things defenetly need to be adjusted. as for bigugli.. i second that thought
  14. beauty post, good to hear the eyes are still around .. Iv been launching my boat at view lake and fishing around there (not far from you) .. havnt had nearly as much luck as you tho, hopefuly that will change !
  15. I was surprised by that too.. I thought it was a little bit ¨out there¨ i also wonder how hard they are gunna come down on every1.. i personaly think its a bit much.. but hey safety first i guess?..
  16. well since my long weekend started last Wednesday after i rolled the family car.. all iv been doing is laying around.. and fishing Scugog for panfish .. and the odd walleye.. tho I am supose to be heading up to the GF¨s family cottage in Haliburton.. (should be great as long as i can go fishing !) as well as how is the fishing in the Haliburton area ? what should i use and expect ?
  17. honestly i find it takes some testing.. and well i havnt either picked a favorite yet.. tho I was really liking the BERKLEY VANISH in 12 or 14lb.. it was great on the first couple of outings.. casted smooth , no problems.. was really liking it.. tho it seemed to deteriorate quickly! I found that it went without any warning, wouldn't knot, and would crack off.... absolute poo! but I went back out and respooled my reels and it was the same again, starts off great for the first couple outings.. then goes down hill.. ..just baught some Triline 100% and will tell you how that goes..! another idea.. check out -> http://www.tackletour.com/menuarchive.html its a great place to get reviews on different line , reels , rods , luers .. etc !
  18. so all in all bad idea ? lol i'l let him no .. i just didnt want to sound like the retarted neigbor
  19. haha if you didnt live in london i would think you were talking about the same guy .. lol im 99% sure it was a 24.. and it ran everything in his bayliner ... i just wanted to warn him if it could mess his trolling motor up.. :S
  20. he took his 24volt batery he uses in his 20 bay liner, and put it in his fishing boat to hook up to his trolling motor.. but the trolling motor is supose to be used with 12volt batteries what could happen?
  21. he has his new min kota powerdrive hooked up directly to a 24volt battery. he said "im sure it will be ok" haha
  22. hey guys , so i watched a guy "magiver" his bow mount trolling motor (which is supose to run off a 12volt) to a 24volt marine battery on the weekend.. the original orings wouldnt fit on so he basicly just strapped them on with clamps.. was wondering what would happen to the trolling motor if you used the wrong sized battery..? aka its supose to use a 12 volt , but he has it hooked up to a 24 volt. will this kill / fry his motor or will anything happen to it ? very currious lol..
  23. Hey guys, was just lookin through my fishin junk..and came across Rapal long cast 17lb line.. is it any good? any one ever tried it ? any feedback ?
