  1. After answering a request for some info on the Ottawa river I offered to rendezvous with Ainsley (Chris) and his buddy. So I launched at Dick Bell marina and made my way up river to a property just up river from Pinheys point and picked up my 2 boat mates for the morning. With no real plans I figured we would just try for whatever was out there so we hit some bays and structure and started casting. This biggie was actually caught on a top raider while casting for Muskies. A few small pike were caught And a decent one Lots of fun! Thanks for coming out guys!
  2. My PB Muskie is on a fudally.
  3. Walleye, Muskie, Bass, Gar, Perch, you name it. Lots of great shoals, edges, bays and weeds in both those areas, I have spent many hours on those waters. I can, and will definitely help you out. I will see if I can mark up a map, take a picture of it and send it to you. PM me your email address.
  4. We've got Turris, Mcarthur, Ryan, Zibanijad and a whole slew of great looking prospects. I'd say the future looks pretty good.
  5. Yeah, you have so much more to look forward to as a laff fan!
  6. Getting rid of Spazza is an improvement. Now the other players can flourish!
  7. Boy the laffs are sure knocking the ball out of the park with keeping players, and all the FAF acquisitions, not to mention that signing today. lol I almost can't wait for the season to start already
  8. Very nice. Thanks for the pics!
  9. Screw it down as much as possible and predrill the right size or you'll be snapping off the stainless screws. Trying to get them out after being snapped off is no fun.
  10. Yeah, and we know he has lots of players other teams are just dying to get !!! Bahahahahahahahahahaha He 's got like the hardest job on the planet right now. Trying to make a winner out of the laffs!! Good luck with that!!
  11. Lauberge des pionier is also a very nice spot. Spent 4 days there with some buds. Nice cabins, launch is great and good rates. http://www.lauberge.ca/ Rick is a very nice guy! Access to a great stretch of river with some excellent fishing.
  12. YUP Nice smile in the bass pics Dax!
  13. Friends Steve Tony from New Brunswick with a double header! Awesome Awesome day, with a few more caught as well. The Ottawa is a gem!
  14. Great day today, missed a biggun, upper 40's with awesome girth and then netted this fine 46.25 x 18.5! Another boat out with us had a double header 42" and 46". Very productive day but exhausted now lol. Going to repeat tomorrow!
  15. Nice fish Lew, opening has been very good to me the last couple years. Good luck to you as well!
  16. You know it Dax, more than just a stop buy my friend!
  17. 2 days until Muskie opens on the Ottawa. Like every year I have taken the day off. Going to fish Saturday as well. Hope to get myself one of these!

  19. Heros! Thank you!
  20. Hit us hard in Ottawa west, the sky was incredible and then the lightning started, wow, The entire sky looked like a rolling light show. Then the rain lol, kinda cool, we shut the lights of and just watched. Only lasted about 25 min but it was intense!
  21. Kewl!
  22. The lake is full of them, almost a guaranteed catch every time. And yes, it is a beautiful lake!
  23. Finally put the boat in today on the Big Rideau with my bud Chris. The Laker bite was tough and the wind kicked up pretty fast making trolling almost impossible, so it was a short outing. Marked lots but they had a bad case of lock jaw lol. Still a great day and the boat was running tip top which was nice to see. This ones going in the pan tonight!
  24. Now there's a pup lovin life
  25. Yes just clean the aluminum and you should be fine. I coated my transom with this product http://westcoat.com/ I would definitely seal the wood. I laminated to layers of 13 ply marine mahogany plywood together and then coated with this product and it's bulletproof. It's used on exposed wood on sailboats and is UV and slip proof. Total cost to me was about $200 for the coating, I recommend you get the pumps for proper mixing.
