  1. Laffs suck! Even their own fans are already saying it's another wasted season. Get used to it It only going to get worse for laff fans
  2. I like the direction this thread is going!
  3. I think Bolland will really step up this year! Oh wait........bahahahahahaha . The laffs have taken about 4 steps backwards, which is just perfect with me. My prediction is an 30-52 record and another early season on the links

  5. Roy might hunt me down and kill me if I do. Maybe let someone else stir the pot first this years lol
  6. Meh! First I can watch the Sens (Praise McCarthur) hockey game! Then watch a comedy, aka, the laffs!! A win win imo
  7. I've done a couple day trips with a 7hr round trip. That is about as far as I would go considering fishing an additional 8-10hrs makes for a pretty hard drive home. Safety first.
  8. Can't really say I've seen a better kids post, ever!
  9. Anyone else unhappy with the unseasonal weather? Seems like forever since the sun has been out and yesterday water temps were under 70 deg, and it's mid August.
  10. Wow......now I have to go there lol
  11. Yes, the Big Rideau is an amazing lake. Deep, cold, clear and holds a lot of fish. Some beautiful places along the shoreline as well. And a big PPark has a good section left in a natural state. We've gone for a weeks summer holiday 15 of the last 17 years. My kids have it ingrained in them lol. The sunsets are awesome
  12. Sherri with a nice bass! Did some tubing and waterskiing with the kids. Great summer fun.
  13. Just got back from an excellent week on Star Island on the Big Rideau. We have been to the island 7 of the last 9 summers and it gets better every time.A little bad weather to start it off but it was still awesome just being there. Fishing was pretty good and my wife Sherri and I managed to get out for a few evening fishing excursions and even caught some fish. The lakers were slow to start but warmed up pretty good. I had a goodie hooked and fought it for about 20 min with it taking long runs the entire time, and I never got it up past 50 fow before it spit the hook. That happened twice lol , sure would have liked to have seen those fish. Here's a nice little laker that made it to the table! Sherri with a pike with marking that I have never seen before, Cool! We hooked up on some very nice smallies as well!
  14. Awesome Mike! And Mikey!
  15. Recipe for missing the playoffs, (again) ! Sounds great to me!

  17. Petrie island is the one east of Parliament hill, and there is some shore access fishing there. Victoria island is a favorite for shore anglers and west is the island park bridge where you can wade and cast for brown trout and many other species. Brittania beach area and the Nepean sailing club by the lighthouse is a good spot. The Rideau river as mentioned by the Bronson bridge (Brewer park) has good access as does the Mill in Manotick. The Jock river by the overpasses has some action from what I've heard as well. Good luck!
  18. The weather was awesome, the bite not so much. Still managed a decent little Laker though and had lots of bumps. I've never seen so much bumping without hookups. I hope that's not an indication of what I can expect when I start my holidays next week. Hopefully the Big Rideau will open up and be nice to me. lol
  19. If you don't use the Galvanized nails, the PT wood will react with and eat the nails in no time at all. Go galv, hand nail if you can't get 16 gauge brads that are galvanized.
  20. Nice!!
  21. Couple other pics! Taking a break from casting while a fish is being released A release shot
