  1. Haha. I remember Hiway market, that place was great. I was quite young then but it was always a thrill to get to go UPSTAIRS to the toy section. It seemed like a dungeon up there but it was always full of toys... Now.. What happened to Hiway market? They had to shut down, and now there is a Zehrs on top of it.
  2. Congratulations! That sounds like an eternity from this point. My last cigarette was January 28th, 2010. I have been taking Champix and it seems to be doing what it says, my only hope is that I'll have built up the self control to realize I don't need any cigarette once I stop taking it. Is anyone else taking Champix? It seems to want to make me throw up within about 15minutes of taking it sometimes, even with an empty stomach. I read the literature that came with it and that really isn't even a side effect that is mentioned, just wondering if anyone else has the same? Andrew.
  3. Funny you mention that area Tightline.. I saw my first coyote a couple of weeks ago on my way to work in the morning in the farmers field @ Bleam & Fischer Hallman... I used to take my dog into the "natural area" all the time.. maybe not such a good idea anymore..
  4. Are you sure Repot Depot isn't there as well still? It was right on Queensway west of the Ikea. I used to work done there and drive by it all the time whoever i'm rarely down there these days...
  5. Does anyone use EPOST? I just recently signed up and added a few bills, I've yet to receive any so we'll see how it goes. I'm hoping however that someone has successfully added ADP to EPOST. They say 1 in 5 employees in Canada are paid via ADP (I'm one). The problem however is that I need to get certain information from my Payroll department and they are reluctant/unsure if they want to release this information to me. The fact that they are based in the USA doesn't really help a whole lot and she can't understand why I can't just receive it in the mail... Can someone using EPOST and ADP please let me know how you got it up and running? DId you have any problems? I'd much rather may pay stubs just go online as opposed to getting them in the mail every 2 weeks and having to worry about filing them at home! Thanks. Andrew.
  6. It was definately a great time fishing! I have no idea how many fish we actually got, but it was quite a few, and not a small fish in there! It was good meeting you Chris. P.S. don't forget your spray the next time you go. Andrew.
  7. I had a great time down there also. I almost tripled the weight of my previous PB carp (and only) with the first 20LBer then later I managed another one that we guessed somewhere between 10 and 15LBS (i'd say closer to 15). This was weird though, that fish hit almost as soon as the bait hit the water, as was mentioned above, I didn't even get to put my rod into the holder before it started pulling! As for bait I'm pretty sure that it was all caught on MGL's stinky ass maize! Thanks again MGL for the hair rigs. You make tying them look easy, but I still don't think I can get it! I think we all had a great time, and look forward to doing it again! Andrew.
  8. Saturday sounds good for me. Weather looks great!
  9. My father has one. Says his sleep is definately better much more "pure". As for the mask, I think you get used to it. I can hear the machine running from outside the room sometimes, but again, I'm sure you would quickly get used to it. you'll probably find you don't need as much sleep because the sleep you are getting will be uninterrupted as you're not waking up to catch your breath hundreds of times in a night (unconciously).
  10. I'd be willing to make the trek for it. Carping is something I definitely want to learn more about. So long as I get some directions, I should be able to make it! Andrew.
  11. I paid $129 US for my Stradic at Allamerican outdoors.. only thing is that the shipping ended up costing me $17.00 instead of the originally anticipated $7.00 That plus the $2 handling brought it to $149 still cheaper than most places around here, and I recieved it in about 6 business days. They started shipping priority mail instead of first class I think he said because it was taking 2-3 weeks for some people to get their reels. Just be aware of this since the shipping is not as cheap as originally thought. Oh, I also got a free spool of line with it, and I am happy with the purchase! Andrew.
  12. I'm heading up to the Moon River on Thursday AM for the weekend. Pike and Pickerel open on the 1st! I'll have to read what I need to bring with me to make sure the fish can be entered into the contest. On a side note... anyone have any tips for up there for pike or pickerel?? Andrew
  13. Hey.. .don't knock the shirt.. I kinda like it. Especially since they're my employer
  14. Back to running amber lights... I've noticed in the City or Toronto now that instead of the pedestrian hand flashing they have COUNTDOWN timers.. Who's bright idea was this? As far as I can tell it just tells the car coming towards it and the person crossing the street that they need to SPEED up before the light changes? How many people do you think see that timer at say 3 or 4 seconds and gun it to get through the light? Which is more dangerous?
  15. Way back when I had driver training this is the way it was explained to me.... yellow means caution..signs with cruves in the road etc.. they are are warning you to take caution, yellow signs with the speed limit, well thats a recommendation that you should go that speed, and not the actual posted speed (the white sign). Also, back to the yellow line.. If its safe its my understanding you can pass. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
  16. I wasn't sure if that was the case or not, because I can't really recall seeing ads in the the past that were just total garbage. I guess that going forward no one should be talking about the CREDIT river and it should become the CR*D*T river.
  17. From time to time I click on the ad banners that pop up on this page. I always assumed they were screened by the webmaster before they are put on here? Maybe that is the case, maybe it isn't. Anyways, Out of curiosity I clicked on FREECREDITREPORTINCANADA.COM or something of that nature (thinking it must be a legitimate site and not a bunch of Bull) After doing everything it asked me to, still no credit report, and not a reasonable link to get to it, other than suggesting to go to Equifax. I am kind of disappointed to see such a banner running on this site. Andrew.
  18. I was kinda leery on $20 for the hercules hooks, but now that the putty is coming with it as well!! I really really really would like to feed that guy to a shark.
  19. It was definitely nice meeting you guys, we'll have to do it again, and get out on the water as well! Andrew.
  20. This is a Shimano Saros 3000F. I definitely don't think its the reels fault (or the line) likely just the user making rookie mistakes. Andrew.
  21. Well, I tried again,.. the line was for sure coming off counter-clockwise, however I had the "label" side down. I'm out of line now, so I'll have to try it again when its not a holiday and all the stores are closed. Good thing is I did get one spool done correctly. Thanks for all the help all. Andrew.
  22. After picking up some new gear at the Sportsmen show I'm trying to put line on for the first time. In the past I've always just taken the spool to the tackle shop and had them put it on, however I thought this time I'd try it myself. The first spool I think was a success, doesn't seem to be any problems (maybe because it was braid?) On the second spool I put 12LB Spiderwire Super Mono. It all seemed to go on fine, however when I went out into the back yard to test that one out, the line kept coming off in bunches. At first I thought maybe I put too much on, but after taking a bunch of it off it was still happening. Could this be because the line was twisted when I put it on? Before I make another attempt I would like to know if that is likely the problem or not so I don't go through the same thing again. Thanks, Andrew.
  23. I guess I'll try on the 12's and as long as I"m not absolutely swimming in them, extra pairs of socks should do the trick. For $45 though it seems like a decent deal. Andrew.
