Fishing show hosts are not educators, but product pushers in the truest sense and can't think of many shows still going that promote the sport at its most basic level, and why I almost never watch fishing programming anymore.

sadly no report on the way, we got skunked on everything, bass, walleye, and skis. But I did plan a backcountry trip for bass and pike in 2 weeks. Thanks everyone!

Exactly! Most of the "invasive" SMB found north/west of North Bay were put there by these guys

 

Introduced to many lakes...invasive to even more. Regardless of whether or not you enjoy fishing for them [once in a blue moon for me], you can't deny that they've had an enormous impact of many native fish species throughout Ontario and elsewhere.

I've had a cottage in that area for twenty something years. If you want musky, head up to haliburton and fish head lake. You can get walleyes in there too. Pine lake, right in gooderham also has eyes. They're tricky to catch, but they are in there, and nice size fish too.

 

You'd probably have more fun fishing the put and take stocked trout lakes up there right now, that are open all year. This is the best time of year to fish specks and bows with an open all year season! Especially the bows!

No kidding. Trout lakes galore in the area. This is about the worst time to try and figure out a new lake for walleye and about the best time for year round specks and splake.

I guess I should have clarified.. When I meant north, I was thinking more like 'Wawa' north.. You know those guys fishing in and around TBay rarely if ever take advantage of the smallmouth fishing up there.

Point is...difference between 'import' and 'domestic' continues to diminish, and the pride that people associate with either is pretty ridiculous.

I wince when people use the term 'tree huggers' for situations like these. The people lobbying for Bull like this surely aren't the ones fighting for real environmental protection. P3TA members aren't environmentalists, they're city-slicker slacktivists desperate for attention.

Even if I were to completely ignore the discrepancy in overall quality, it's quite clear that 'import' vehicle manufacturers are typically providing much better working environments for its production employees, often without unions. I say this as an employee of a former GM affiliate.

Not to mention Mexican Motors and El Fordo are outsourcing to foreign plants with god awful living standards, and 'import' brands continue to increase North American production. The line between foreign and domestic may as well not even exist anymore.

...and I love my Tundra.
