  1. When are they going to start taxing our bank account balance?

Actually they already do they tax it before it gets deposited. lol

The fishing license fee is something that you opt in for if you want to fish it is not mandatory. Kind of like the fee to go to a movie or amusement park. Those type of money raising do not bother me as much as taxes that are on products you need to live.

  2. IF you are talking about a well system then you need it to protect your water system from over pressuring if the switch arc's together. If it is city water then it is rare to see one and our local codes do not require one. The water heater also has a pressure temperature relief valve to safe guard the system. The water heater one is set usually at 120 lbs. The well tank one is set at 75 psi using a rv50 valve.

Please be advised that the statement is for the rules and regulations for the USA and may not be correct for Canadian building codes.

    Good luck

  3. My first wetting in the world of turbos was to take a 280z and mod a 280zx turbo and controls on to it. The turbo controlled by the mass airflow sensor reboxed and then run thru a volvo intercooler has a separate pressure switch that closed off the return to the tank and raised the fuel rail up to 65lbs. Talk about lighting the candle when you floored it. lol. It would eat corvettes on the straights as well as keeping the balance correct in the corners. Best car I ever built out as far as performance. The current ride is the eco boost that is stock and with the sequential twin turbos and the 3.72 gear set it has all of the grunt I need to tow as well as getting surprisingly good gas mileage but not as good as they advertised. I have gone to 2 wheels now for my speed fix with a SR500 track bike that is street legal and my latest build is a RZ350 with a custom programmable CDI,exhaust, porting, carb.,punched out twice over. So far we have gone from 42 HP to 67 at the rear wheel. The clutch had to be reworked from a R1 as well as beefing up the suspension to keep it controllable. I love two strokes. lol.

Sorry for the distraction from the original post.

  4. The sprinter at 152 HP and being heavy and bulky you pretty much use the throttle as an on off switch. The shift points are it's down fall at 4000 rpms and with the load of the A/c running it takes time for the turbos to spool up and get the ratio back in line for fuel/air. I think as we press forward on the design of turbo's and getting them to react faster and more stable we will see them become common on almost all vehicles.

  5. Raf they are having issues with the O2 sensors on the one mounted by the turbo chargers. They keep sending conflicting info causing sooting that cakes on the turbo and clogging down the line. Another contractor is running 3 of these engines and has replaced 4 O2 sensors and 1 turbo before 100 thousand miles. The EGR recycling valve also sticks and will soot up and put the vans into limp mode. The solutions so far is to run BnG diesel additive in the fuel. Before running this additive the back of his trucks would be sooted in 2 days and now it is just slightly discolored in 2 weeks.

  6. The Mercedes connection was dissolved when they sold Dymilar-Chrysler over the diesel engine design. The Mercedes motor found in the Sprinter vans has issues and was then evolved exclusively to the blu tech engine for the only Sprinter now produced for/by Mercedes. Sadly the added technology did not make the engine as good as the inline 5 they used up till 2005. Fiat entered in as Mercedes left and then the final evolution of the Dodge motor was created. Either way you got a very nice truck and it should give you years of carefree service.

  7. You are correct Bernie it was $3600.oo worth of parts and labor to fix if I wanted it to be done. The shop manager and the dealership both went to bat for me and asked Nissan to pay and it still fell thru. Needless to say while I really did love the Titan as a truck with a few flaws it was the companies polices that made it a vehicle I will not own.

  8. I can pipe in on the Titan. Anything before 08 has an issue with the rear axle seals leaking with the repair recommendations as replace rear end at customers cost. My 05 at 36000 was leaking and a bulletin was to replace the rear end as a unit not just the seals. Nissans response to me asking for help was to offer an employees discount if I bought a new one. I am now driving an eco boost F150 and I am really happy with my choice.

  9. Don't be afraid of the eco boost I have been around many of them as well as owning one and purchasing the second one soon. They will not give you the mileage they posted however they are a joy to drive. I towed 4000 lbs for 14 hours straight from Canada to Virginia and it never even hiccuped. If you really want to know what vehicles are having issues do a search for bulletins on the vehicles you are considering. They are the way to see what national issues a vehicle is having rather than peoples opinions of what their friends, brothers, cousins etc. had with their vehicle.

  10. I know how you feel I have a few rods he has made me over the years and just about had a heart attack when a friend offered to help me put them in the truck. He opened the door and had 4 of them leaning between the open door and the inside of the truck. If the door had closed all 4 would have been destroyed. I am happy to report nothing happened and my fishing buddy is still alive.lol

  11. I hope all of the people that have an opinion go to the meetings and then can be assured of the facts to reach their conclusions. As always thank you Crosshairs for taking the time to post here and show the rest of the story. . They are both insightful and are not defensive of the First Nation being above the law but rather doing your best to keep the treaties enforced and adjusted in the changing times of Lake Nipissing. I travel 13 hours yearly to fish this one body of water because of the fish, the people and the scenery that it provides for me to enjoy.

  12. I'm sorry the correct name for what I am using is called a quick link for chain repairs. The Carabine clip for climbing is as said not strong enough and the rating of the chain and the clip both have to exceed the ratings of the trailer it attaches too to be any good.

  13. I would not do it but if you want to try it before you epoxie it into place put the transducer into a plastic bag full of water and put it in the location you think you want to put it in. Make sure there is no air bubbles between the hull and the bag and this will give you a true reading of what it will show you after shooting thru the hull.

  14. I guess my point was missed for all of the internet vigilantes who think it is o.k. to flatten tires or throw deadly items at someone with morality that is low enough to fish for OOS fish don't be surprised if they bring a gun to what you perceive as a knife fight. Is a beatdown worth telling a stranger not to fish for bass before a date? Call MNR it is there job not yours to be judge and jury on this issue. If they do not respect the law what makes you think they will respect you? Be safe and be careful I hate for any of my friends to be injured over a fish is my point.

  15.

    Wow.

Courtesy should be something that is earned, or you show out of respect, not offered "in case they have a gun".

The time frame to earn courtesy and respect is not possible when you are going straight to a confrontation. You will not earn either one of those when you are telling someone they are doing something wrong. I read so many posts here of people who will get into a fight over a fish and the reason is there is no penalty other than a few bruises.
