Funny how we all rename places that we fish at. On Lake Nippissing my brother and I can say our name on where we caught a fish and when we try to tell the other we can never seem to tell them where it really is. My favorite word in a name seems to be trench since all of the places up North seem to be deep channels.

I have bunk boards on a Ranger and it launches really well since I applied Liquid roller. I have to have it in the water before unhooking or it will slide off on the ramp. The issue with the rollers is they concentrate the pressure on the fiberglass and if you have a weak spot it will find it on the rough roads we sometimes go down.

Some of my towing is extreme distances so I also carry an electronic temperature reader and check the tires and hubs along with a tire gauge. It is an easy way to spot trouble before it gets out of hand.

Best bait/rig for cats are a sinker large enough to hold bottom where you are fishing. Make a loop about 15 inches above and put a circle hook on a 5 inch lead. Put chicken liver fresh on the hook and put it out in any place the current is swirling and ebbing. For the big cats use fresh cut sucker in steaks with a single pass of the hook thru it. Once you get a scent trail going after a few bait ups the fish will find you if they are in the area.

The correct sale price for any thing is what you are willing to take and what someone is willing to pay. The dealer gave you what they are willing to pay and it is to low. Find another buyer is your next option.

Yea I burned my thumb after using that trick. The super heated air coming out of the removed valve core was hot and I didn't want to lose all of the air as I fumbled the core back in place.

I didn't tell him about the starter fluid way of inflating a tire.

Norm try a real air compressor if you have one. The small compressors do not have the volume to reset a bead. If you get it jacked up before you take it off take a ratchet strap and go around the tire the same direction as the tread and ratchet it till it is tight. Start inflating and as soon as you have around 10 lbs take the strap off and finish filling it.

I run dot 5 it has a higher boiling point. Your truck suspension is set up for the weight better than a trailer. Adding weight to a trailer in an emergency maneuver gives it more inertia to whip from side to side. Stress on the ball hitch and the locking mechanism is increased and with the cheaper hitches with the wedge that goes up and down can cause them to fail when you need them the most.
