  1. Roger I just had the front wall of my basement dug up about 3 months ago. I also feel that water problems are best repaired from the outside. Water needs to be able drain, slow or no drainage allows it time to find the weakest link. My basement is made of concrete block, it had poor drainage on the front because the construction garbage, insulation, pieces of wood, plastic, bottles and cans had been pushed into the hole along the outside wall and topped of by the clay they had dug up when digging the basement. There was also only about 4 inches of stone on top the footer drain pipe. Water doesn`t flow well or at all thru clay, it traps the water against the foundation, all the junk was dug out, by hand(2 men, 2 days) footer drain section was replaced, black flexible perforated pipe was was replaced with rigid perforated pipe, basement wall was resealed, clean out installed and the hole was filled to 1 foot from the surface with number 57 limestone and topped of with topsoil. The water isn`t coming from inside the house, why try to stop the seepage from the inside? The repair is simple but labor intensive, a 2 foot wide trench dug down to the footer drain, if you can run the water of with tarps or something it is a do it yourself project to save cash if you are physically able to do it.
  2. Great news! The being sick deal can get old! I am nearing year 4 and it hasn`t been much fun.
  3. Probably to late to help, try the first drop from shore. My buddies have been scoring well on bass in 4 to 8 feet of water, they are feeding heavy on baitfish. The Mskies might be to or feeding on the bass. Piedmont?
  4. I hate raking Leafs!
  5. Great pictures FF, always nice to get days like that in November!
  6. Thanks guys, it`s been a pain for about 3 weeks. My speakers are built into my monitor and I do get a beep if I click on the wrong item, just no other sounds. I get a message that says "supported sound card cannot be found" if I try to play a game like Holye casino, I have re-installed the game and no help. The computer is saying everything is connected and working. Mute is off volume is up. I also get a message archlib.dll needs to be re-installed, and svchost.exe is the only thing using resources on the task manager besides FireFox in any amount. No clue it`s still under a service plan but I have no idea if it is a hardware or software issue. I will run Hijack this and post the log.
  7. Mushroom head also work well, I use a mushroom head or a ball head a lot when swimming a plastic worm or lizard. Look at the hooks when you buy your jigs, some just aren`t meant for bigger fish when a lot of pressure needs to be applied to keep them out of junk. The 1 1/2 inch and 2 inch size crappie(panfish) soft plastics will also catch bass on pressured water, it is a good idea to pour your own jigs to use in them with bigger, stronger hooks.
  8. Nice fish RT! Good looking point in that first picture.
  9. My computer has a problem and I can`t seem to get it figured out. I have been on the phone with my DSL provider, Best Buy, Compac and no one has given me an answer that fixes it. I have no sound other than a beep every once in a while, no voice sounds, no music, I have looked and it`s telling me everything is working. I also have a delay as I am typing, sometimes it take 10 seconds for the new words to appear. I have done a recovery a couple times and a F-10 restore and nothing seems to make a difference. My DSL provider sent me a new DSL modem package, should I install it? Does it sound like a modem problem? LOL Thanks!
  10. Used to fish New York, Ohio, Pa, and Ontario, for soft plastics Junebug works in all of them, watermelon, green pumpkin, brown, white, purple, black are also good colors. Hard baits I like natural colors(baitfish) chrome and black, chrome and blue, gold and black, Perch. Spinnerbaits white, white and chartruse.
  11. The only football I watch anymore OSU! As it turned out the pick four lottery winning number here that day was 4239, LOL the fix was in? Great game they kept it interesting!
  12. Happy birthday Lew and Ned!
  13. Nice puppy! Are those stuffed ducks in the picture? LOL they last maybe 10 minutes here, our 2 Bostons have a tug of war with them, and then with the stuffing.
  14. Nice fish guys!
  15. My favorite would be a buzzbait, there is nothing like snaking one thru the lilies and seeing the water explode. I don`t use them as often as I should, just because other lures have a better hook up ratio. Plastic worms and lizards, just for me a go to lure, they can be fished almost anywhere and the hook-up rate is high. Jig and pig, jig and plastic, they will still catch a lot of fish. Tubes my favorite multi species lure. Really no favorites to speak of, I use them all until I figure out what is working best and where I find the fish.
