$130 waders, cheap fly combo and a few flies and I was off to fish the Grand with an old buddy in from the east coast. I've been jaded from river fishing for decades but this was a totally different experience than I remember. The Grand is truly that! The scenery and wild life is just awesome and the rain enhanced the experience even more. Our day started with a quick lesson, then on to the river where we only found chubs. We broke for lunch around noon and stopped into Grand River Trout fitters. We grabbed a few smaller recommended flies and got a little direction from the helpful staff and were back to the water. 10 mins later I got my first and only brown a new PB at a monster 10"! Awesome!! My buddy ended up landing one a little bigger at 12" or so. A few little smallies and lots of chub made for a great day. I'll defiantly be out fly fishing again. I've got lots to learn and equipment upgrading to do. My next goal will be a couple of pound rainbow or brook trout.

That easy. I had an OPP question my home made papers a few weeks ago but after explaining I got it from the scrap yard and rebuilt all the parts I was on my way.

I have a buddy flying in from the East coat and he wants to do some fly fishing on the Grand river up near Elora. I'm totally not a fly fisherman by I'm going to give it a go. We are heading out this Saturday but looking at the forecast we might get 10mm of rain. Will this blow out the river or stain it to the point it's not worth fishing? Like I said I have little to no stream fishing experience. Any advice would be appreciated.

Now I've had it running it fires first time with no problems? It's done this to me the last few trips. I'll try the seafoam when I get back

As much fun as it is finding a marine mechanic in muskoka on the long weekend, I'd thought I'd try here first. It seems like to me that my engine isn't getting gas? Every time I prime the ball it seems empty or a little soft? Starting the engine is the main problem. To get it to start I need the choke wide open and let it run high rpms for a few mins and hope it doesn't die putting it in gear. Once it's running it runs fine. Any on the spot trouble shoots I can do?

So instead of printing off the conformation page of my licence renewal I saved the screen shot on my phone. Of course I killed yet another phone and no longer have that conformation and I'm still waiting for my licence to come in the mail. How do I get proof of my licence?

Last fall on LSC I boated 4 big fish with gar jumping all around the boat. I thought I'd snag one for sure burning an in line spinner.

There's a cheap motel in Mitchell's bay that's attached to a dinner. Clean, bunch of bunk beds and well priced. Long ride out to deep water from Mitchell's but you probably could cut across the skinny water in your dingy. Have fun!

Nice! I bought a Gopro with the sole goal of recording a LSC giant chasing on a figure 8. With baby number 3 due any day it will have to wait till fall to zing some bling!
