  1. Cool stories guys, now I want one. I've enjoyed looking through Terry's while ice fishing the past few weeks. $fishing equipment$ It's never gonna end is it Joey
  2. I saw a hawk take down a pigeon right in front of me one time Lew, it was quite the sight. I wasn't about to tell him he couldn't eat it I guess its the food chain and that's life. There'll be more pigeons Lew, hang in there Joey
  3. Great report Aaron. Some nice big perch there. Joey
  4. Looking good Tony, and no duct tape to be seen Keep us updated, I love seeing works in progress. Joey
  5. So Terry, how you going to get the boat back onto the ice Be careful if you do go out please. We have a date this weekend remember, I don't want to be stood up Joey
  6. Yes, I just saw the news, very sad. Anyone know exactly where it was, I know Virginia Beach area, but whereabouts on the lake. I want to make sure I stay away from that area for sure as we were considering going out to VB this weekend. Joey
  7. Great report Oldphart. Nice to see you were doing some great catching. That wind was sure nasty, I know. I was glad I brought my shelter too that day. Joey
  8. Lets just say they weren't too receptive to doing it at first, I had to ask for the manager
  9. Okay, so I took the carp over to the post office and had it officially weighed, it came it at 28.26 lbs (12.82 kg). I ended up calling the IGFA and the largest carp caught on 4 lb test is 38.07 lbs. She said I could have won if I was in a certain state, because they have state records, but they do not have Canadian province records Oh well, it was still fun to catch and a real blast to start off the new year. Thanks everyone for your congrats and kind words. I really appreciate it. Joey
  10. Joey

    Wow...

I was wondering how I could have missed this. Now ain't that sweet Congrats. Joey
  11. Happy birthday Marc. Enjoy 40 because its all downhill from here, hahahahahahaha. Happy birthday to you also Pete. Joey
  12. Terry, I love that second video, that's hilarious. Interestingly enough, while we were packing up back at the truck, did you notice that guy come by and take a picture. I thought he was taking a picture, but he did hold the camera up the whole time, then said to look on Youtube for it. He said to search for the Terry Goy entry for today. I have looked but nothing there so far. Jeez, I hope he wasn't taping everything, I think I acted like a complete dork, saying a woman caught it Oh well, we'll see I guess, Hahahahahaha. Thanks for the congrats everyone, I'm still on cloud nine, over a carp Joey
  13. Well get out the B. Aren't you feeling sick, cough, cough Nice fish for sure. Joey
  14. Hahahaha, I wasn't using the perch for bait, LOL. I was using a flashy lure with a minnow, and it was caught by the lips. The perch was a comparison shot Joey
  15. Cool, so how do I get it officially weighed? I stood on the scale at home and then on the scale with the fish (Paul did it also) and it was 28.4 lbs. both times. And for those asking, it did not live long after being caught. It was a long fight and coming through the hole was a bit much for it I think. Paul's has a co-worker who loves carp so he will be eating it. I should get it weighed first tho I think. Joey
  16. Well, what a fantastic start to the New Year for fishing As Terry said, she was a brute and our 25 lb scale bottomed out so we aren't really sure how much she ways. Probably close to 30 lbs I'm sure. We had a hard time getting her through the hole, but finally she must have exhaled some air and out she came, like Lady Simcoe giving birth Here she is. What a thrill. Thanks for the video Terry and the company. A pleasure as always. Joey
  17. Morning Lew. Happy New Year to you, Diane and Sherri, and Marvin too Joey
  18. Mo, it was 4 to 5 inches most places. Joey
  19. Okay Skud, we are definately going on Tuesday, bright and ugly. PM me if you want my cell and we can figure out what time and where. Shawn says him and Percher will probably be going aswell And I think Terry might be in again too. Whoever else wants to go just say the word, the more the merrier Joey
  20. Nice report and pics Garry. Looks warmer there than it was here on the ice today Joey
  21. Really Shawn, we were close to the most southern part aswell. We were probably close but hey, everyone looks the same out there in their suits I know. Too bad, it would have been nice to meet up. Congrats on the keepers Joey
  22. Hahahahaha, super report Mike. Love the snowman. Too bad about the skunk, maybe the tie was too bright and scared them Joey
  23. Great report, maybe we should have headed to the other side today Nice catch there bud. Joey
  24. Well as per GCD's request, I took some pics of the day We were supposed to meet Emil and Tapout on the 400 at the bait shop at 6 a.m., but by 6:25 they had still not arrived so we headed out so we would possibly still find a half decent parking spot at Gilford, not so Exercise is good for you right We were on the ice by 7:30ish and it was still dark, which was a little unnerving being the fist time out on the ice and not knowing the thickness. But we trusted Terry's reports and followed the masses. There was some broken up ice that had frozen over at the beginning, which in the dark looked pretty freaky. I took a picture of it on the way back when there was daylight, kind of eerie eh. We walked a ways and drilled a few holes and set up. Paul caught a few dinks and that was about it. We saw Terry coming out and he suggested we go a bit further, so we followed him on on foot as he blasted to his spot on his bike. We set up and my two holes were a frenzy for awhile, couldn't keep the fish off at one point, mostly small, but a couple of keepers. Terry did not too bad either, Paul seemed to just be bad luck Although he was optimistic. Terry with all his toys. Me having a jiggy time. We saw a few other OFNr's out there too, Skeeter, Tracker and Skud. Nice to see you guys again. How did you make out? It was a small town out there today. Everywhere you looked, it was populated. We moved another time but it looked like the bite was off so we called it a day around 1 p.m. When we got to shore, we noticed someone walking in that looked like Emil, so we waited around and sure enough, it was him. Tony had gone to get the truck so we stayed and gabbed for a bit and found out they had gone too far north and were a bit lost when trying to meet up with us in the morning We'll get out with you next time guys Think we're heading back up on New Years day Joey
  25. See you's all out there. Looks like its going to be a great day. Joey
