  6. I've been jogging recently, on a really nice path not far from my home. It takes me about 40 - 45 minutes to run and it has a weaving river that runs through it. Here is the path, which they have been doing recent work on, hence the tire tracks. This is the river. This is the average width, but it does get wider in spots, to about 10 feet across. There are tons of crayfish and smaller fish, not sure what they are though, in it. Visability is good right now Then I jogged past something that looked like a human scull. Thought I might have to call CSI in, but upon further inspection it appeared to be harmless. Can you figure out what it is? The path is beautiful in the summer. I'll take some pics when it gets all nice and green. Joey
  7. They bite with less vis than that. Go, have fun! Joey

  13. We usually do two drifts. For the first one, start right at the the launch, where the rocks jut out and go about 40 - 50 feet out into the river (don't go close to the shore or the shore anglers will knock you in the head with a lure, usually on purpose). Throw out the trolling motor and drop your line and the drift will take you down. Using the trolling motor to keep away from the shore or from going out too far into the whirlpools out deeper. Once you hit the end of the drift, generally near the ourpour (you'll see and hear it) the drift kicks you out into the whirlpools and middle of the river and you'll generally spin around. Motor up and head back to the beginning. Be prepared to tie up ALOT because you will snag ALOT. Pre tie some three ways if possible and have alot of pencil weights handy. The other drift is at the end of the jet boat pier. Just start a bit past the end of the concrete (you can go in closer to shore there) and the drift will take you quite a ways down. Try closer in and further out. Its not so hectic there with eddy's and not as many shore fishermen either (not alot of places to stand). Good luck. Joey

  19. Mom and I were looking through the old photos last night and she was telling me my grandparents took her and her brother and sister (Uncle Bob and Auntie Pat) to Lake Simcoe all the time, renting cabins most weekends at Willow Beach and staying at Mossington Park. There were tons of photos and this one I took a pic of to see if it has changed much since 1940. Its an aerial shot of the area from back then. Anyone live in the area and has it changed much? Joey
