Just picked up the same mount Fang mentioned at Radio World this weekend for 85 no tax. Looks like a solid mount. Can't tell you how it preforms yet.

I have spent the last 3 years vacationing at Weslemkoon, and enjoy it very much for that reason, no boat trafic hardly any cottages, good size bass , no pressure on the lake and very secluded area.

Bill M, I don't know if you've seen the 2 units up close, but I just returned the 898c in exchange for 998c for the simple reason the framing around the 898c seems to over power the screen size, making the screen look small. Now the framing around the 998c is a lot smaller which makes the screen look huge. Even thou it's only a 1 inch increase in screen size it appears to look a lot larger. Both units are the same size physically. Like I said I had some cash saved up + gift cards + the price match so it really didn't hurt that much. Was it worth the extra money for the 1 inch difference? I'm happy .

Wow I see there are a lot of rental places and cottages for rent on the French, so I guess there would be some pressure and traffic. What area is the fishing better upper or lower French?

Hi everyone new to the board. Every year I try to pick a different place to spend a one week summer vacation in Aug. with my 2 boys fishing. Some of the areas I've fished so far are Simcoe, Bala, Picton and Bancroft. I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on any other places to try. I live in Toronto don't mind driving 2-3.5 hrs. to location. Not asking for any hot spots but the fishing aspect of it would have to be first, (keep the boys interested) second accommodations(don't mind roughing it a bit). Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
