  1. We were casting a bay one evening when 2 clowns on a jetski decided to mess around with us. They came in close and started doing donuts around us for about 5 minutes then took off. They only got 100 yards and tried to make another sharp turn but instead rolled the machine over. We could hear one of them screaming in pain in the water so we motored over and asked if he was hurt and he said yes, it's my back. I said "ahhh, that's a shame" and continued on our way.
  2. Couple years back we were staying at a camp up on the West Arm of Nipissing and the Ministry was practicing water drops and we had a good seat to watch the show. Really interesting stuff.
  3. Some nice pictures there Barry, always enjoy them.
  4. Nice pics Barry, here's one I took years ago similar to a couple of yours.
  5. Years ago we had a board member who's folks lived on Dummer and I fished with him one day. Not much luck fishing wise but a very pretty lake and as mentioned no public launches.
  6. Hard to believe some people some guys are so stupid.
  7. I see they're 5 cents cheaper than the other guys and 21 cents below the local stations around here so I may just head over that way next week.
  8. No, never went to that one Steve, I was told it was more of a marina for boats and the grounds were in really bad shape and tough to get into sometimes.
  9. As of today Curve Lake is $1.48 while the local stations are $1.64 which is .16 cents or .72 cents a gallon. I normally wait till my gas tank is pretty low then go over and fill it up.
  10. Since 1st posting about the 401 insanity back in April we've gone to my daughters place in Mississauga 3 or 4 times and have only used the 407 since then. Costs around $70 - $80 return from Mississauga Rd. to Hwy.115 but well worth it in my mind. Nice peaceful drive with about 10% of the traffic. Doubt I'll ever take the 401 across the GTA again.
  11. You did OK, the gas at Curve Lake Reserve near me is currently $1.49.9
  12. Always enjoy the Jiggy stories TJ.
  13. Fun times and lotsa good eating there.
  14. Your info is always interesting Barry.
  15. My bad Barry, for some reason I thought these pictures were very current.
  16. Really nice pictures as always Barry but just curious, is it normal for deer out your way to be born in July rather than early spring ?
  17. Mine is branded and sold by Ford but I seem to remember it's made by BAK but I could very well be incorrect on that.
  18. No complaints with my tri-fold at all, not 100% waterproof but darned near. I drove 100 miles thru a heavy downpour yesterday and everything stayed dry. Easily folds up against the back window leaving nearly the entire bed usable. I've had them on my last 4 trucks and there'll be one on my next one too.
  19. Yeah I hear you Chris, a sad thing to see but it's the way things work in the wild.
  20. We just spent a week at Quinte and the place is loaded with swans, they're everywhere. We had this little family group living on the shore next to our cabin and they're fun to watch. First few days there were 4 babies, then Wednesday morning one was missing and only 3 babies were there. Woke up Friday morning and another one had disappeared leaving 2. Locals said the baby swans are a favorite for the pike and they grab them all the time plus we had plenty of ospreys and hawks flying around so who knows what happened to the little guys. Nature can be tough sometimes.
  21. I used the Down Easters, they're strong holders for when your dragging big baits fast.

    Hybrid?

Specially when you compare it to the shoe beside it.

  25. Came across this video on YouTube and figured it'd fit this thread.
