  1. I'm with Gerritt on the Deerhurst trip. You have great fishing, great golfing and the town of Huntsville all within easy reach. You may also want to look at Cleveland's House on Lake Rosseau. Great spot for the kids and for fishing as well.
  2. I actually bought some stuff in order to try it out. I'm pretty pleased with the results. I have been making Senko style worms in various colours. Let me know if you would be willing to try some out for me.
  3. I wish I could find something like that around here. We buy a package of Senko's for anywhere from $6.50 to $10.00. I pour my own for around a buck. I can also make whatever colour I want, whenever I need them. It takes about 30 minutes to make around a dozen. Keeps me entertained .......
  4. Does anyone on the board pour their own plastics? If so, what are you pouring?
  5. I'm with Gerritt. I was there for around an hour, and blew $600. as well. Drift socks. new PDF, new line etc. The place was packed, but was running efficiently. The sales are good. Can't imagine what the place will be like on the weekend!
  6. I will be there around 9:30 this morning.
  7. I use both oil and propane. Unfortunately, mainly oil, The cost is horrific at the moment. I highly recommend going with the propane. It is also much cleaner to use.
  8. That is why I asked where he will be living ....... Sympatico is not available everywhere. When I say wireless ..... I have an antenna box on my house, hard wire coming into a bedroom and then a router that covers the house. I agree with you on the issue of others taking your signal. I guess it depends on how close the neighbours are!
  9. Where are you going to be living? I live in the country, and the only viable option that I have ever found is wireless. If there is a wireless provider in your area, I recommend that you use their service. The satellite signal is slow ........... and might drive you crazy. Sympatico is rarely available in the sticks.
  10. I would be happy to join up with anyone for some fishing. I am on LTD at the moment, so am available anytime. It is definitely time!
  11. Unfortunately, that sale ends before I get there. Otherwise, I would be happy to help out.
  12. Let me preface this statement by saying that I believe it imperative to support our local suppliers. Having said that, many of us also shop at BPS. Since I am heading down to Florida shortly, I thought I would do a comparison of the BPS flyer's for Canada and the Ft. Lauderdale store. Amazingly, the prices for Canada, with a few exceptions, are either on par, or slightly lower than their advertised U.S. prices. All I can say is ....... it is about time! Good for them.
  13. I won't be able to participate in the actual draft. I have made my picks, and saved them. Do I still need to log-in, or will my picks be made for me automatically? Thanks, Michael
  14. One more .... although there are lots!
  15. One of my shots from last night
  16. Thanks for the feedback. I will check out some guide services.
  17. I use the Garmin 76 CSx. I have been using it for around 1.5 years and am very pleased with it. I use it on land while hiking, on the boat while fishing, and in the car while driving. The unit is waterproof and it does float. It is great for creating tracks as well as for marking waypoints. When I use it in the car it is amazing at picking up points of interest. As an example, if you are in a strange city and want to find the closest beer store ..... just enter beer store and it will direct you to the closest one! All in all, a great unit.
  18. According to today's paper his dad is the president of TD Canada Trust.
  19. I am heading down to Florida in mid-March and was wondering if anyone has been to Okeechobee lately. If so, what are the lake conditions like? Any recommendations? Thanks.
  20. I'm with Lundboy. I always lock the trailer and the boat up. It may not prevent theft, but it sure acts as a deterrent.
  21. Excuse my ignorance ...... where do we sign-up for the pool? Thanks, Michael
  22. What concerns me is how much media this thing received. There has to be more "important" things for Toronto's largest newspaper to cover!
  23. No surprise. I almost got executed for suggesting that people join a free Fantasy Fishing Pool. Who could ever imagine that people on a fishing site would be interested in fantasy fishing! Better luck next year.
  24. Ryan .. I think that the site looks great. It is easy to navigate, and shows the product well. One suggestion that I would make is that there may be a benefit in adding a bit more of a description for the products. As an example - does the lipless "stinger" rattle? One other suggestion, if you are planning on selling product south of the border - "9g" doesn't mean anything when it comes to weight. They will be more interested in seeing the product weight in ounces. I am looking forward to trying them out.
  25. Something that is free in which you could win lots of money is not considered spam. Spam is an unsolicited message in which you are asked to spend money. This is no different than fantasy nascar, fantasy football, fantasy hockey etc. I just thought that people that fish might be interested in winning something in which all they have to do is guess how some fisherman will do in a tournament. Take it for what it is .... not what it isn't.
